To answer annie's question...The intern from the hospital, (the guy that had been watching them as his challenge) it was his job to make sure they died so he could get the antidote. He had the switch up with him, so he had to check to make sure the guy was dead.

Yeah, I thought it could be that, but I didn't know. I kind've missed the very end. Right when he was about to saw of his foot my parents were all "ok! Time to go home! Let's Go!"

of course, my friend told me the big surprise ending after, but I kind've wished I could have seen it.
