OK so. It's like 1 am and my guy friend down the hall messages me all of a sudden and tells me he just downloaded Chicken Run.
I say oh, that's a good movie. After a pause he says "you can come watch if you're bored". Naturally, I agreed.
I went to his room in pj's wrapped in a blanket and he suggested I go back and get my pillow, so I did.

He started the movie on his laptop, turned off the lights, shut the door, changed into his pyjamas (in front of me), and lay in his bed next to me.
He also offered to share the blanket. Narrow bed, body contact, funny movie, light chatter.
When the movie finished he said he was going to sleep, rolled over on me playfully with the pretext of getting me to go, and said goodnight a few times.

During all of that we were touching lightly, but any movement on my part to touch more closely was pretty much ignored and then sort of withdrawn from.
So my question is, what is this guy's deal? Is he gay? Shy? Confused? Oblivious? Mah??

My best guess is that the guy was just nervous. His thought process was probably something like:

"Did I just touch her leg with mine or the other way around? Oh geez, I'd better move my leg so she doesn't get freaked out." He also probably didn't know exactly what you were wanting/willing to do, so he didn't want to make the first move.

you guys have all made nice points, but, let's not forget the "chris factor".
that being, guy is thinking with his dick.

there is a chance after all, that he wants a piece but that's where his intentions end. you guys have flirted before, i take it, so maybe he sees potential in you. so he invites you over, and gets snuggly. you get snugglier, and he thinks it might develop. and then he gets worried.

what if you decide after this little snog fest that you want to be his GIRLFRIEND? (AIIIEEEEEE!!!!)

so he pulls away, trying to keep himself from creating problems. but he'll wear down eventualy. so, before you do anything, make sure you guys want the same thing, eh?

i have a similar problem. i've gone out with a guy eight times. he comes all the way down from ajax (an hour drive) just to hang out with me. and that's all we ever do is hang out. hanging out is cool and all but this relationship doesn't seem to be progressing...what the fuck is up with him?

i'd say just attack him and make out with him but obviously i'm in a similar spot and am certainly not going to follow my own advice

kimmy: this has been a recurring event throughout the year. last night was just one of the most blatant incidents.

I say just get it over with. Find out if there's a lustful spark there.

Ugh, I would, but we're close neighbours and friends and it would just make the rest of the semester intolerably awkward.
