hurrah! another year

Last night, I went to the Molson House Party in St. John's, NL, and Our Lady Peace was the headlining band.

I was there and having a great time.. I was near the front and had a perfect view of the band.. they were doing awesome.. and then the next thing I knew, I was in the medical tent, throwing up and hyperventilating. They told me they thought that something had been slipped into my drink and would have to be sent to the hospital in an ambulance. Not exactly my idea of a wicked night at a concert.. I was terrified.

I was aboard the ambulance and they were getting ready to run some tests, when my friend Susan told me that someone had come aboard to see me. I turned on the stretcher.. and there was Raine Maida. He came on to make sure I was ok.. he held my hand and was talking to me. They wouldn't let him come to the hospital with us, but he wished me well and got off.

I still can't believe it happened. He was geniunely concerned and extremely nice. He is truly an amazing person.

Thanks Raine.. you were the silver lining in the truly most terrifying experience of my life.
