I agree. At least wait for the whole album. We already know the Wolf is amazing... so that's one....
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

This CD is also make or break for me, for OLP. Can't justify buying records when they keep disappointing. Live they are as great as always, maybe even better (at least better than 5 or 6 years ago). But the last 2 CDs have come out worse than the demos and clips that are leaked. Hopefully that changes with this one.

I wouldn't exactly say he's not holding back. It sounds like the same level of singing from burn burn. It's ok, I was expecting something a little more raw, but this is only 40 seconds so I'll wait for the rest of the song.
Not a fan of the talk-singing, it reminds me of his solo work. Falsetto is nice to hear again, but again, it all sounds fairly restrained.

I should clarify that this does sound better than any other single off burn burn. But that's mostly because they didn't pick good singles off of it (compared to other choices they could have made).
My main worry is that this isn't raw at all, or unrestrained. I know most will disagree, but I hope everyone keeps in mind what happened with Burn Burn. Everyone was so hyped and so pumped when they first heard All You Did, and then months later most people were saying it was a weaker song.
Right now we're starved for OLP music, so anything sounds good to everyone. But looking at it objectively, this sounds like a fuzzier Burn Burn song, maybe with a bit more punch.
I obviously won't judge their entire album off of this, as AYD wasn't a great representation either. I just hope it's a little edgier than this.

I like the pre-chorus (if thats what it is) but the chorus almost brings it down from what I hear in that clip. The talking instead of singing is getting a little too prominent in the new material. But it sounds like this song has some promise.
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?
