No, that works... but the filenames are crazy. But if your id3 tags are proper, you could use a program like Tag & Rename to fix that right up.

you can also use itunes to do it and not have to worry about the file names and all that

When I open it as an external device, it only recognizes the files I put on it in other ways, not the music put on it through iTunres.

edit:
specifically:
http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articl ... omputer/P1
and more specifically the section entitled:
The Brute-Force Approach—Copying your Media Back Manually
but...
The downside to this approach is that this will not allow you to retrieve iTunes-specific information like playlists, ratings, play counts, skip counts, last played dates and last skipped dates, but you will be able to get back the media files themselves, complete with the important identifying tag information contained within them.
Another consideration is that these files are not well-organized, so it’s not going to be a practical approach for somebody looking to retrieve a specific set of tracks, such as an entire album. The name and file-system structure on the iPod itself is intended to only be used by the iPod and iTunes, and is therefore not organized in any way that would be meaningful to a human
there's a tonne more there.. it works tho

So, I downloaded the Caprica pilot today and I have no idea how to play it. Anyone know how to play R00 Files? There are 47 files in this download each named named R00, R02, R03, etc, etc. By the way, the full name of a single file is caprica.s01e00.dvdrip.xvid-reward.r00

Hey Johnny, how much does Caprica depend on BSG? I've only seen the first season of BSG, and I plan to continue. Should I wait before watching Caprica?

Caprica has nothing to do with BSG. In fact, Battlestars in general weren't even mentioned in the pilot. The only thing linking BSG to Caprica is Joseph Adams, his son William and of course, the cylon.

Why... are you guys talking about this in the Computer Questions thread?
HAS THE WHOLE BOARD GONE MAD?!?!?

My computer keeps freezing.
Most often about 5 minutes after I've turned it on for the day, but also sometimes after having been using it for hours. Sometimes the screen goes black to boot.
Do you think that's a problem that could be linked to my operating system (I'm using the new Windows beta), or should I be looking for another cause?

Actually, my computer freezes up like that as well. I usually have to restart it anywhere from one to five times a day. Not sure why though.

It could be a hard drive issue. You might want to run check disk on it sometime.

Yea if it's going black to boot could be a sign of HD failure.
Do you hear any clicking from your pc when it freezes up? Or when it goes black upon boot?

You guys should consider backing up important files asap.

No, it doesn't make any noise when it freezes, unless I was running a sound file.
The screen just goes black (or sometimes it doesn't) and refuses to respond to anything I do, unless I turn it on.
And it always happens the first time I turn it on after it being off for a while.
Luckily, most of my files are still backed up from my troubles last week.

Most of my files are already backed up, as I had to save them when my old computer went to hell with mechanical problems. The only things I don't have saved are a few Powerpoints, pictures, and some music which can be easily be added.
To put it simply, I'm about done with laptops. Damn you, Circuit City.
