Why would it hurt? Just pulling on your hair kinda thing?

Because they have to braid it soo tight for it to be effective and stay in for a long time. And then your head gets sore because it pulls your skin.

Ohh right .. this girl at the hairdressers was talking about that once .. apparently it hurt even to go to sleep at night cuz it hurt so much when she laid her head on the pillow

Yeah.. it really did.

Now that I've told my horror stories no one will want to get it done! The only other time I've had it done was about 2 years ago in Key West.

That's definitely one of the things I want to do at least once .. it seems the thing to do when you go away some place warm though .. and I never go anywhere

I'm going to Newfoundland in a few months .. which isn't exactly warm .. and I don't think those Newfoundlanders will be able to braid my hair. I remember I asked my hairdresser here and she's like "I do that all the time for the strippers that come in here" :lol:
