From there select the directory, drop the tracker address in the trackers box, then click create and save as...
So easy, even a caveman can do it!
What is this tracker address that you speak of?!

You said you were going to create a torrent. If you are going to post it on a site, you need the address for said website's torrent tracker.

Uhhhh.
I just need to seed some files so I can keep my upload ratio on par with my download ratio.
Make sense?

Where are you downloading from? They should have a guide somewhere in there for uploading and seeding torrents. Within those directions should be the address for the tracker.
For example, the CM's tracker addy is
http://www.clumsymonkey.net/phpBB2/tracker.php. That would be the address to go in the Tracker box in Utorrent.

i'm not sure what you're trying to do, johnny, but if you just want to seed a torrent that's already on the interwebs, all you have to do is redownload the torrent and save the contents in the same folder as before. your torrent program should check the contents that are already in your folder and if you're at 100%, it'll set you to seeding.

This isn't a computer question, but a bit of information for those of you in Canada. Newegg.com has opened up a Canadian site for the good folks north of the States. I've used them for years for PC parts and have had excellent experience with them. Newegg.ca if you want to check them out.

I'm not sure I've asked this already, but the laptop I use currently has 2 diff versions of Windows on it.
*Windows XP Pro
*Windows 2000 Pro
I wanna delete Windows 2000 if possible. Is it? I mean.... without doing a full reformatting of the hard drive. I only have an illegal copy of Windows XP. I do not wish to use it. Not even sure why I've kept the disc.
If anybody knows of any options. I'd greatly appreciate it.

I want to be able to burn dvds to a playable format on a dvd player.
Any software recommendations? walkthrough hints, tips, suggestions?

i have nero 9. bought it from staples for $35 on boxing day. i think it can only be installed on one computer, though. my mom uses tmpgenc on her computer, and that's pretty good too.

I use DVD Shrink, it came with my computers and it works great (most of the time). The only time it doesn't work is if the disc is write-protected so that you can't copy it.
It's so easy to use too. And if the DVD you're copying is too big for the DVD you're burning to, DVD Shrink makes it really easy to remove components you know you'll never use (like foreign language tracks, captions, and other parts).

Imgburn. It's freeware, user friendly, and there is a link to it right on our Links page.
Are you wanting to burn copies of DVD's, or are you wanting to take video clips and make them into DVD's?

Umm... well, it has two different versions, so it's got a dual boot up? That'd mean partitions. Clear off all the stuff on the same partition as Windows 2000, then just format that partition. That should do it. (I think, I've never actually used a dual boot, but I would think that should work.)

You completely just spoke Hebrew to me Nikki.
I did manage to get into the advanced properties through My Computer and deleted something that I guess removes Windows 2000 from the boot screen. So XP will just boot by default and I don't have to go to that option screen.
Meh... This thing is an old turd anyways. I should just let it die. It's only got 128 MB RAM for cripes sakes!!
