Bunch of crazys.

The thing that bugs me most about the movie, isn't the fact that it isn't accurate to the book, its that it isn't accurate to the other two movies. With things like the grounds, the anamagi and that sort of stuff. That annoyed me.

That didn't bother too much cause I think if you just look at the movies as movies alone, the third is the better of the three. I think the first two are rather dull. I mean I love them for the whole story, 1-7, but the movies are just sort of on the dull side. I think this director just had a whole lot more imagination but also knew that more focus on plot had to be done. I didn't notice the Great Hall was different though, and Hagrid's Hut and the Dark Forest are just not at all the same.

Blech. The first one sucked enough that I passed on #2, but this one had a new director so I decided to give it a try and was actually quite excited to see it... unfortunately, it was less-than-captivating, too cheesy and draggy in some places when there were other places that were highly neglected, and the acting of the main cast continues to be (there is no other word for it) PAINFUL.

In retrospect, after having reread all the books in the past few days, I have decided that what the movies are lacking are that inherent sense of humour and fun that makes Rowling's writing style so engaging. No shred of self-humour in the movies, none at all. Far too heavy handed.

I thought it was incredibly stupid.

And you knew that was the end too. I was sitting there thinking "If this is the ending....oh my god the cheese....don't end it.....they ended it. That certainly sucked"

The movie was great. Most movies don't compare to the original Novel. However as a movie on it's own it's a great movie.

Also, the final freeze frame was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE idea. That's so unprofessional.

Oh and I liked the 1st and 2nd ones better so far.

The second one had kind of a dark edge. This third one seemed much to hollywood and more childish or directed at only the young audience, kinda like they were trying to make the characters really animated and bubbly. Especially at the start. It got better though and was a good film, but just not as good as the first 2 in my opinion. The time thing was done really well though.

i agree. why is everyone saying that this one is so much darker than the second one? because there is a murderer? because of the dementors?

i was deeply disappointed by the dementors. not at all threatening enough for some dudes who can suck out your soul. they were too ghost-like.

I went and saw this movie the other day, it was the first Harry Potter I've seen. I was expecting to hate it but ended up liking it. For what it is they did a really good job though.

I thought the dementors were cool. Where everything would get cold and freeze etc... That was cool, but this one was way too animated with the characters, like the one teacher with the crystal balls and the fat lady... SUCH BAD ACTING. But it did get better, like I said later in the film, with the whole time travel thing, it was filmed and presented very well.

the freezing part was awesome, i just thought the dementors were too waif-like and insubstantial. i would have prefered something imposing. i still thought the movie was well done overall though, as long as you had read the books. some things were just not explained well enough - my boyfriend leaned over to ask what was going on every little while. or maybe he's just really dense :P
