Here's a PDF of the information for Overnight Stays in Brampton that will include wristbands. For any further questions, call the Tourism Info Line at 905-874-3601. It is staffed 24/7 and will be answering calls through the Christmas Break leading up to the event.

OK I' am book for the
Holiday Inn Toronto - Brampton Conference Centre
30 Peel Centre Dr (Queen St & Dixie Rd)

This one included transportation to/from the event.

I booked an executive level suite with 2 queen beds and 4 adults so I could get the 4 wristbands.

So that will be 1 wristband for me, 1 wristband for Megan and 2 to toss into the pot.

Thanks for the info Rich!!

My experience booking the room was a touch rough, but this could be due to the fact the info just came out today.

I called the hotel and said:
"I'd like to reserve a room for NYE"
"Ok I'll transfer you to reservations"

From there I read verbatim the package that Rich listed on the site and specifically mentioned the Brampton NYE package.

She didn't knwo what I was talking about and asked me to spell the city.

"You don't know how to spell the city your in??"

She told me to hang on for a second. And asked me to call another person at "732-555-6470"

I repeated to her "555?"
"Yes 555-6470"
"Are you sure that's the correct number?"
"Yes thats what I have listed"

At which point I hung up called the hotel back and asked not to be transferred to reservations.

The woman on duty (Crystal) was very friendly in finding out the information for me and getting my room booked.

Maybe as this info becomes more prevelant other experiences will run smoother.

If anyone runs into trouble booking their own room at the same Holiday Inn just ask for the same exact package as Brian Wright and hopefully they'll have all the necessary info on file.

WOOOOOOOOOO 20 days!!!!

Hahahah, 555. Good job hanging up and trying again.

OK, so... I really hate asking this, but how much did people's rooms cost who are willing to share? Those package deals were kinda pricey looking (but thanks SO much for posting, Rich! I can't believe you guys aren't going anymore! :().

I currently have $60 to my name, and I only make about $50 a week... and I'm pretty sure I won't be working Christmas week. And I still need to get my mom a Christmas gift. So yeah. This hotel needs to be really cheap for me to be able to afford it plus busfare/gas. :uhh: I was really hoping we'd go for the $50ish one I found on Hotwire... but obviously the wristband thing threw a huge kink in that plan.

I guess what I'm saying is... I'll bunk with any of you lovely people, but how much is it gonna cost me?

I went with the upgraded executive suite for an extra $10. ($110 Total)

I figure it might have an extra chair or floor space for someone to sleep in if we end up with a full house.

And Nikka the bathtub is always available :P

Nah, I can't do that! But thank you so much for your generosity. :)

So, I remembered that I'll be getting Christmas money! So yay!

Still need to figure out the bus situation. I wish Melissa knew now if she has to work or not... with this Megabus thing, I don't trust that we can make separate reservations and still hope to be on the same bus. Plus we've gotta figure out times, which should be tricky. Especially for getting home, not knowing how long crossing the border might take. :uhh:

Megan, are you definitely going now, since the wristband situation's figured out? We should plan.
