Venue was very small. It was packed too tight.

It was a concert that I didn't want to stop.

The only disappointing part was during Naveed. The crowd was quiet. Raine started telling the story of How he named the album after a person from Barrie named Naveed. Because Naveed was so positive. He went on to say that he got a phonecall from Naveed's mother telling him that Naveed had been kidnapped. Some idiot started cheering. Raine stared at the guy saying, "why would you cheer for that." At that point some girl screamed at Raine "take it off." Raine looked so pissed, i thought he was gonna walk off the stage. The crowd started to scream, "kick him out" and Raine went on to say that the kid died. He then dedicated the song to Naveed's family.

The show was amazing

Ugh. Stupid people in the crowd.

... what's up with the story, though? Isn't Naveed the dude that works for Rockstar Games? He ain't dead. :freak:

ya....those idiots in the crowd pissed me off too

on a lighter note, the show was absolutely amazing....i loved love and trust and world on a string, and it was great to hear naveed again....

very powerful and emotional set....the band seemed to just love performing....

the encore with 4am was just amazing (steve on keyboard, joel on guitar, and the rest of us singing our hearts out, which the band seemed to enjoy)

my 11th time seeing them live and i just keep wanting more....so much so that i am going for my 12th time tomorrow back to TO to the Best Buy acoustic show....should be awesome

My fun time in Toronto!!

I get to the Mod Club at 4pm and there’s about 10 people in line, not too shabby! So, I prepare myself to wait a few hours before Jon, Lori, and Sab arrive. After half an hour of waiting, Raine comes out and asks us if we want to come in and hear the sound check. :wtf: :freak: Everyone was like “Really?” and Raine was serious! We walk into the venue and stay at the back, just standing there staring at the stage in shock that we get to hear their sound check. Before the guys got on stage, this dude tells us politely that we weren’t suppose to be here and that we needed to wait outside. We told him that Raine told us to come in. He went over to talk to Raine and came back and smiled and said “Ok, you guys can stay.” :)

For about 20 minutes, they were just playing random things. Jeremy was jamming on the guitar and Raine was beating the drums. Just before 5pm, Raine leaves the stage and walks by us and tells us he’s sorry that it’s taking so long to get the sound check going and he leaves the venue. A few minutes later, one by one, the rest of the guys walk by us and say bye as they leave for MuchOnDemand.

We didn’t know what to do, so we just stood there, at the back of the venue still, staring at the stage where occasional roadies would appear on stage. After about 10 minutes, a different dude comes up to us and tells us that we’re going to have to wait outside because they’re going to be bringing in equipment. We ask if we can come back in and he isn’t sure but this lady helped us out. I find out later that her name is Karen and she’s the new tour manager. Karen asks this dude what he was telling us to do and he tells her. She tells him that we’re going to keep them inside because if she lets us out and back in, anyone else outside would have to come in too. She also said that Raine wanted us to be inside to hear the sound check as a treat for coming early.  We get moved to the side where there are tables and chairs.

The guys get back at 6:10pm and Jeremy was on stage and sees us on the side, points and says “Hey, you guys are still here!” Karen says we can go right up to the stage and watch the sound check. I wish I brought my camera, I later find out that they didn’t care about cameras, no flash was the only rule. The songs they played for the sound check were: The World On A String, Picture, Angels Losing Sleep, Boy, Love & Trust, and 4am. They played 4am a bunch of times as Steve was playing the keyboard and Raine was singing! One of the times, during the solo, Raine was doing a bunch of crazy falsettos, it was excellent.

After that, I remembered that I had Jon’s ticket so I got him on the guest list and all was good! Jon, Lori, and I were standing together in front of Steve, 2nd row. This girl behind me, didn’t catch her name, wasn’t able to see because I'm a giant and she wanted to take pictures so I switched spots with her. Later that night at the VIP party, she told me she regretted switching spots with me because the 2 people in front of her made out a lot of the time and I elbowed her in the back of the head a few times. I told her that’s exactly why I switched spots with her! 8-)

The show was great, tons of energy. The World On A String is great live, I like it a lot more now. Still no songs from Happiness or SM though. :( The VIP party rocked, everyone was there! Shout outs to Steve, his girlfriend, Jeremy, his girlfriend, his mom, his brother, George Stroumboulopoulos, Rob Higgins, Sab, Lori, Alison (sp?), girl I elbowed multiple times in the back of the head, Marco, Jon, Miro, Kruno, Shelley, and Rich!

yay!! :D :)
