I'm pretty sure I won't be able to sleep until I find him... I know where this 'ghost' is, but I can't see his face.. grr! Oh, and here's the link to the story, if anybody really cares, .

Speaking of ghosts, there is a legit picture of a ghost downtown in the Cathedral here. What happened is after the whole fucking city burned down and they were rebuilding everything the Cathedral went up, but some worker died during the build. When it was done they took a picture of the guys in front of the new building and when they developed the picture there was this ghostly figure of the guy who died. And since this was a long time ago there wouldn't have had the technology to alter the photo. Its hanging in the Cathedral today. Pretty creepy stuff.

Well, you could do a double exposure, but that would be almost impossible to get things to line up, and to avoid seeing the rest of what's in the picture with the "ghost".

Thats true,

I am just skeptical of the whole ghost idea. Specially because i had someone who claimed to be in touch with ghosts and such at my house once. She claimed we had a spirit in the basement. First of all my house is like 9 years old and built in the middle of nowhere where nothing has ever happened.

Within a half hour we had actually calculated her experience. It was a green light bulb shining in the bathroom that was spazing because the light sensor on it was faulty. It created a green beam of light that had shone of the mirror which reflected off a picture into the hallway and created a green haze.

Now as far as personal experiences. I have been in a so called haunted house. My neighbor (which is like .5k away) is in a house built some time in the 1800.s It has had a person commit suicide in the living room. I have been in there when freaky shit has happened. Even after those experiences i feel that, there is still nothing there. THe most that has happened has been weird lights turning on and off outside, two doors closing and a radio which spazes.

The lights outside could easily be explained by the cold -40 temperatures outside and timer switch which froze then started to spaz. The doors could be from the furnace kicking on and creating an air current through the house and closing some doors. As for the radio, it could just be faulty electronics.

Anyhow, i am skeptical of the idea of ghosts popping up in pictures.

then you should come to Newfoundland! :D

I have actually seen it though, and its pretty creepy.
and I don't know how they would get a double exposure of a dead guy so I ruled that one out.

Actually we have a "haunted hike" every year around october that are actual ghost storys from the st. john's area. I've done it a few times, not that I believe much of it, but last time they took us to a four way intersection and told the story. Then he said that this happened to one of the four houses on the four corners. And recently, in the past couple of years the ghost made another appearance so when the owners found out they moved. he didn't want to tell us which of the four houses it was. Which was funny. Cause one of them had a huge "for sale" sign in front of it. :D that foiled his plans.

In Saskatchewan the most popular "ghost" is the Saint Lewis Ghost Train. Basically anyone who travels the road near where the Saint Lewis abandoned train tracks around midnight will see a large floating white light with a red light below it shoot across the the road and continue through the fields. Of course it has been determined that it's merely the reflection of car lights off the road several miles back.

Its very cool regardless.

3rd day of classes and I have a SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are supposed to get 3-4 feet of snow from the storm in addition the 1-2 feet we already have laying around. If I look out my window all I see is a big white blur. It is quite amazing.

Rob, are you on crack??? There's barely even a "blip" of snow on the radar......

you'll probably get several inches, tops, but you're a lucky bastard for the snow day...

Went to the optomitrist today. Need new specs.

Picked out different ones.

They're not thick black plastic fames! :O

I feel so dirty, like I'm going against my religion or something.

In any case, the new ones (which I should get on Monday) are thick(ish) black metal frames, without bottoms (they're semi-frameless, so there's no frame on the bottom of the glass). They're basically like mine, only slightly thinner and bottomless. Though they aren't the geeky frames I love, they are still l337, and that works for me.
