Hah, I read "The Three E.P.'s" and I thought someone was talking about The Beta Band. Now that's real music. And good music. Yep, real good music.

Matt should grow the hair out like Underdogs days

You don't like Matt, Alan? Mind if I ask what you think of him?

There's nothing much that I think of him. He's good at what he does, don't get me wrong, and he's very intelligent (I read his journal-thingie many times, as Sean posted every single one for an entire month in the world issue forum) but his music does nothing for me.
I had his Avalanche album sent to me and it didn't impress me. I never understood the whole hooplah around him after that. Like I said, it was just good music, nothing awe-inspiring, which I was led to believe it would be.
Therefore, that's all I think of Matt Good, sadly enough.

actually of all of Matt' stuff i'd say Avalanche is least likely to be the one Alan likes. Maybe LOTGA, Underdogs, or even BM. Mostly Matthew Good Band stuff.

i was just listening to AOB, and there are a lot of songs that i really don't care for on there, but damn, there are also some exceptionally beautiful things there.
i think that "truffle pigs" may be my favorite song ever.

oh no i freakin love "The Rat..." (though i did dislike it at first), it's so beautiful the way it builds up so slowly, and matt's voice sounds incredible on it.
yeah now i usually skip man of action, carmelina, advertising on police cars (depending on my mood), and, if i haven't got a lot of time, antipop.

I love all of AoB but I sometimes skip Carmelina & Anti-Pop. My current favourite songs being Under The Influence, The Fall Of Man and Sort Of A Protest Song, but those change from time to time.

No, I never saw him live until this year. I was supposed to see him last year but things got complicated and I couldn't go. I envy you.

I keep meaning to playy AoB again. I remember not really caring for it when I got it. I haven't listen to it since then.(2001)I did like the video for Anti Pop though. This is probably my least favorite MG material.

It took me a little while to get into. For awhile I only liked one or two songs.. then I went on hiatus from it for a little bit, listened to again and realized what a kickass album it was. I've loved it ever since.
So, listen again Gail.
