he opened his mouth
and the words that dropped out
were white against black
on the screen in my head
i watched his mouth move
and i knew what he said
but i couldnt hear him
just watched in my head
the tear in his eye
made me turn away
but i watched him cry
and knew what he meant
the words are still there
still white in my head
they wont go away
all these years he's been dead
i wish i could hear it
the sound of that day
i wish i was blind
wish those words went away
