How important are looks? Depends on the girl, if shes really worth it, it won't matter
How important is a sense of humor? a sense of humor is a good thing to have especailly if she is sarcastic
Do girls like dominant, aggressive males more then that shy/respectful type? try for some where in the middle I would say
and I would say be friendly enough to let her know you're interested but if she shows signs that she isn't back off a bit, try not to be over powering. (funny and entertaining is always good too)

what sorts of signs do you think would show that she may be interested? And what would be an obvious indication that she isn't interested?
oh, and thank you for your help

You have to learn to read body language. If she sits with her body facing you and leans in and such that's probably a good sign. On the other hand if she crosses her arms or crosses her legs away from you, or nods at whatever you said and turns her back, it's probably not worth it.

Don't read TOO much into body language though. Some people just get nervous and automatically cross their arms.

Yeah everyone's body language is different. I've had girls seem like they were totally ignoring me and then at the end of the night ask for my number, because I would have never asked for their's after that.

And just be yourself is very important. If you make yourself out to be something you're not then that's never going to work.

I really wish to know what women need to see in a guy to be attracted:
How important are looks?
How important is a sense of humor?
Do girls like dominant, aggressive males more then that shy/respectful type?
also what's the best way approach a girl without coming off as too obvious:
-Should I be really nice and friendly with a girl I just met?
-Should I try to be funny and entertaining?
-Should I just be passive and simply wait for something to form between us?
Please help

. I know this may sound like I'm just looking for pity, but I feel like I'm going to be alone forever.
All girls are different. Period.

quite simply....don't think too much! overthinking will lead to more awkwardness and hesitation than anything else.

my advice: be yourself. if you try to be something other than that at the start, two things could happen: 1) later on in the relationship, when you come out and act like yourself, she might be shocked because of the change and not like you so much anymore because you won't be the same guy that she said yes to. 2) you'll be afraid of #1 happening, so you'll keep acting the way you did in the beginning, and then you really will change, and if you don't like the change, then you'll end up blaming her for it.
besides, she should like you for who you really are, not who you're trying to be. otherwise, she's not worth the trouble.

Yeah, unless you're:
Then I'd say you're better off being somebody else.

Oh my...
UGH. Two boys playing with your heart sucks. I finally decided that I am through with the old one no matter what, he just likes to control me. I really like the other one, but now I think I am moved way too far into friend territory for anything to happen
