I have a straightener, but it's no good to me now. I'm growing my hair out again but it's super thick so straighteners don't work too well.

the lyrics are mishmash for one. half the songs don't even sound anything like weezer. i think green is better, it just wasn't recorded as well (ie bad solos, vocales, overall not enough time and effort). it's just when you listen to blue and pinkerton and then green and maladroit you have to wonder what happened. (kinda like olp and gravity. although weezer didn't change to sell out)

true, the lyrics are different. i think rivers just wanted to produce something people would like and something that was catchy although not at all deep, with all the bad rap he got for pinkerton. i can't really agree on the vocales for pinkerton though, it seems like he's worked on his falsetto with the newer albums and i think in pinkerton river's voice was drowned out.

his voice used to be so gruff and fucking rugged. he was the man and he knew exactly when to use the falsetto. and his voice had freaking emotion. now he sounds so lame and unenthused.
