Summersault and Trusty...what year is it? Looks like the boys are ramping up for the summer, too bad all the shows are back east.

Re: General OLP News
That’s a pretty ridiculous price considering that they don’t have anyone else headlining that show. It’s literally just OLP right now.blueseeka wrote:Looks like they out priced themselves a little in Toronto. Cheapest seat about $75. Amphitheater looks pretty empty on Ticketmaster right now

There is also this one that I posted yet on the other section:

I was thinking that it was a cover from Plastic Jesus LOL, however pretty generic song for me, I follow some bands and honestly OLP are the only one that "try" new songs live (especially where they are not main act), but however let's see, will wait for studio version....such a shame that some songs (like The Fix) are not released yet

Re: General OLP News
It's a catchy song. I don't forsee it making it into an album but who knows?

Re: General OLP News
Cool to see the return or Summersault, but this doesn't really feel the same. Summersault was much bigger than four bands.
Re: General OLP News
The last major, more than 4 bands festival I went to was Edgefest 2006 in Toronto. We must have seen at least 7 bands that day on different stages. I don't know logistically if I'd even want to have something of that magnitude to be part of. It has to be a nightmare.

Hi Trusty!
As for the new song -- it sounds like something they may have just worked up pretty quickly. Good to know that new music is on their minds though.

Re: General OLP News
Spoke to Raine after Moon V Sun show at Jackson Triggs last night. Planning to head into the studio on Thursday to record ‘Stop Making Stupid People Famous’ with David Sitek (producer and guitarist, TV on the Radio). Raine said that they are trying to add a bit more attitude to the song before hopefully releasing it sometime this summer... “That’s the idea” in Raine’s words. Also confirmed that they would be headlining the Summersault shows across eastern Canada. Says that they are having a blast on this tour.
Re: General OLP News
In a recent interview with Duncan he said they're aiming for new music next year and due to the anniversary of spiritual machines it will have a bend towards that....which sounds fucking awesome to me
Re: General OLP News
That sounds awesome! I was hoping for a Happiness... vinyl this year. I'm a little saddened by that. Also, the new song did nothing for me. This might be my least favorite iteration of Raine's voice. It sounds goofy in a lot of live material. I liked the Moon Vs Sun stuff but I do sometimes have problems watching new live stuff.

I heard the same.Flynner wrote:In a recent interview with Duncan he said they're aiming for new music next year and due to the anniversary of spiritual machines it will have a bend towards that....which sounds fucking awesome to me
Also, the new track is fun. Here's hoping it's not just a one-off red herring like The Right Stuff or Won't Turn Back. I'd be curious to hear a record that's more in this world.
Yikes, that show was a long time ago. Now I feel old...xjsb125 wrote:The last major, more than 4 bands festival I went to was Edgefest 2006 in Toronto. Re: General OLP News
Wondering if anyone will be recording the live stream from tonight’s concert. Unfortunately I won’t be near a computer and really bummed to be missing out on this. If you happen to record it, can you hook a brother up?
