My friend Brenda. She is an assistant manager at my home store in Bristol. She is already a bad diabetic, and now she has cancer in her liver. She's only 33. :(

MATT Cancer period... Cancer runs in my family. I lost my grandma's(breast and pancriatic) father (colon and prostate)and uncle( stomach, back them brain tumours) to cancer. that is why I am wearing the yellow Lance Armstrong braclet, plus I am getting the breast cancer one in a few weeks.

It is the worse feeling when someone you love is terminally ill and you can't really do anything for them except try to make their last days as comfortable as possible..

now I made myself cry

anniversary of Dad's death...I feel do depressed this time of year till just after new years...

Gail - just be glad you don't have all that family cancer history stuff and cancer yourself too!

Matt - tell your friend I'll be thinking of her.

I have been under observation for cervix cancer the last few years... I had something show up on a test awhile back so the doctor has me under observation. SO far I have been lucky and it is just a few abnormalities at this point. I do worry about it cause I can get it and nothing I do can provent it.. I just try to think postive. I have to get my mamogram, and colonoscopy(or however it is spelled) done this year...

But I am glad I don't have it, and hopefully I won't get it... Still it is rough on people who have it. I know a few people with it. It is also hard on the loved ones...

I don't wish this on anyone...

People that always have to play one upsmanship. Intentionally or unintentionally pisses me right off. Be it they got a shinier medal or they met an A list celeb as opposed to a B list. Or simply whether they think they've got a story thats better or worse than the person before.

   I know this was directed me. I am not trying to one up anyone. You don't know anything about t my past medical or current medical history. I only answered SOOZY saying I had been under observatoin for a few years. I had a scare in 99' and with prober treatment and regualr checkups I was lucky to to not have to go under the knife. That doesn't mean that one day I won't.

I keep my medical history to myself because none of you on here really give a damn or are my friends.

I am truly sorry Soozy is ill.. But that doesn't mean that others on here having had their share of medical problems. Maybe not to the extreme as her. But I have spenT enough time in the hospital as a child from illness.

Plus I am much older then you on here. I am not much younger then my mom and grandma wen they took ill.

you really should see where a person is coming from before you accuse them of trying to ONE UP

now the other thing I hate today is having a high fever from a viral infection and having to go back to the specialist who performed surgery on you a few years ago to see why?

I give anything not to have to go back... I hated it..
