hm. chances are i wont make this......... i'm not sure yet.

i might be up in collingwood snowboarding with some friends, plus i have a PD day on the friday. and the semi-formal is that weekend (which i am ACTUALLY considering going to). details need to be set for this meetup!

okay i think we will know for sure if everyone is meeting up by Feb 1st but its pretty certain. I am thinking the meet-up will be on Friday night since its not Valentines day and Joey will be there and all that good stuff. Perhaps we will meet for dinner or something and have a fiesta in the hotel room for those of the legal drinking age. :dance:

oh and about that whole stuff about the power
newfoundland's grid is connected to the hydro quebec grid i believe (or atleast its connected to the main North American grids in the same way as hydro quebec's) .. and for the record folks in quebec didnt lose power at all even though folks they were supplying did.. hydro quebec converts all powered produced from AC to DC and then back from DC to AC (i may have the general type of current mixed up but not the principal) and so when the grid went to hell, they were able to save themselves by stopping the convertors from blowing and possibly frying their grids... the reason this kinda stuff isnt done everywhere, it costs 5% more or something like that..

so, it's going to be february 13th? cause i gotta take the day off work in advance, or else they will make me work because i usually work fridays.

i have finals for my condensed classes on Feb. 17th and 18th. so i'm not sure i can go.

if i take the bus it will be 65 dollars for me to get to canada
and if somebody goes with me it is an extra 30 dollars which makes it a little less than 50 dollars per person
