I think TCU should be in the championship too. Michigan has 2 losses, and yet they're higher then TCU in the BCS. what a piece of crap this bcs system is.

Yes, but when TCU boasts that their biggest win is against powerhouse Houston (bleeding sarcasm) then there's a problem. See, a team that plays at least 8 of their 12 games against big time schools should get some attention. That's why someone like Bowling Green should get a BCS game, because their only loss is a 7 point last second one to Ohio State, and they have some big wins.
I love Michigan and all, but come on, 2 losses, and a good chance for a big bowl game scares me.

BGSU has 2 losses
they lost to OSU and they lost to Miami Ohio
but the reason for the BCS is legitimate.. sortve
i mean.. its hard to come up with a perfect system for football unless you do something like a tourny like basketball

Smoker is aptly named.

At MSU, whenever they were on offense, lots of Michigan fans began chanting "JUST SAY NO".

good, ride his ass! and sorry sarah, y'all just ain't my style of football out there in Ann Arbor.
that's another thing that pisses me off. Smoker got another chance, and every comentator in the country loves this kid. Let's be honest here, he was a junkie, as in he's not a role model, and despite what others might think, college athlete's are role models, especially to high school athletes. He should have been (and would have been in alot of schools) kicked off the damn team, and his scholarship revoked.
same goes for this winslow guy. all his life, he's had someone's lips pressed to his ass. he's a cocky little prick that ain't shit compared to his dad. If that was my team, i'da kicked him off the team. taked the helmet right off his head, pushed his ass out of the locker room and the door slammed in his face.
"get out of here you damn loud mouth, we don't need shit sticks like you around here, your gonna mouth off get the hell outta here, we don't need whiney bitches around here, take your shit and get out of here. kiss your scholarship goodbye!"
and i would have done that in front of the media, in front of the players and everyone interested. let them know that a coach is the head guy in charge, and shit like that isn't gonna be tolerated on a damn good football team.

about smoker.. if you say that about him then what about so many other athletes who are pro now? theyre whiney sons of bitches man.. how the hell is a kid like smoker or winslow gonna learn when he sees guys like iverson, randy moss, kobe (he's admitted to consensual sex which in itself is bad considering the guys married and his wife is expecting), and many, many others.. atleast in smokers case.. he came to the coach and said straight up "coach im a crackhead" and then took the punishment and turned his life around.. its different with him then others hwo used drugs and shit and then either hid it or didnt fess up whatever.. smokers a better roll model then those other guys.. he admitted and beat his problem

So if your honest about a drug problem, then your off the hook. that's what the kids learn from this? do drugs and then claim your the victim, and next year, your a starter. Does the school not have a drug policy?
I hate pro sports and athletes with a passion. My solution to their bitching is running. extra running will let them know, hey i better not screw around. you can't dock pay, hell they're already rich. when you run them into the ground.....they'll be too tired to run their mouths. especially them linemen, there's not a godamn reason a lineman should be running his mouth.

ie warren sapp
but i didnt say smoker's story is acceptable but like i said he atleast had the balls to admit to his problems.. he's better than all those others who tried to hide it or cover it up somehow..
and he doesnt go around shooting his mouth off talking about parcells being a "fag" or whatever shockey said.. or that the refs should be "killed" (i think thats what winslow said) or that its okay to skip practice "cause we be talkin about practice.. i mean.. what we talkin about man? we be talkin about practice.. i know practice is important but we be talkin bout practice.. i mean come on.. its practice!" in addition to his "rap cd" which was about (apparently) "niggas, drugs, violence and fags"

Bunch of pussies...all of them.
Smoker still commited a crime that should be looked down upon by the school and the program. They should be glad he got help, but should have benched him.

It's nice that he was able to realize his problem and all, but he should still not be allowed to play for an NCAA team.

kellen winslows gettin benched for his "on-field" actions but nothing for his off field rant about the refs..

like i said before, if i were his coach, he'd be looking at D1aa or division 2 schools right now.

i wouldnt go that far cuz he's a good tight end.. one of top 2 in the country supposedly with the dude from the gators but i would bench his yapping ass for atleast a game

there'a about 1 million tight ends out there that want to play for Miami. at least one of them is better then winslow and doesn't talk as much shit.

there maybe a million TE's who WANT to be there and are good enough to be there but of those million, most of them may or may not be either a) eliglble or b) as talanted as he is.. and this is coming from a guy who hates the school and the team with a great deal of passion.. but he is really good at what he does.. he lit up Ohio State last year in that game and burned everyone covering him pretty much and if my memory serves me correctly, he burned mike doss, the top cover guy for OSU last year

there are thousands of athletes that can be converted into TE's. and plenty of them are better then him and don't have a shitty attitude. i'm sick of everyone kissing his ass. and he'll go to the NFL and he'll get his ass kissed the whole way.
