i'd probably have no problem with her if i didn't find her image and the vast majority of her listeners to be so offensive. it's overexposure, in my opinion, when i go to the bar and see 4 girls who i know as queen whores from high school all wearing fucking ties.

if she wasn't the most popular artist since linkin park i bet alot of you wouldn't hate her as much as you do. i know lots of people who "liked her before she was on the radio".

Yeah, no doubt. I liked Gravity before it was on the radio, and it goes beyond just mere selfishness. An album loses something when it's given up to the media to do whatever with. Play a song on the radio, that's cool, I like that, but become a part of the machine, that's not cool, that cheapens the music.

Today at the mall, i was wearing long black shorts and a white tank top with my spicky bracelets and my friend told me that i should wear a tie.

I almost smacked her.

It was leaked long before it hit the shelves.

I meant before it was released and SoT and Innocent were on the radio, but yeah.

 I had Gravity nearly 2.5 months before it was released and I liked it right away .. I also had Avril's cd a month before it was released and I liked her based on her songs, not her image since I didn't even know what she looked liked or anything about her .. I mean yeah she wears ties but lots of musicians are known for certain things.

Raine is known for his voice
Jeremy is known for his curls
Pink is known for her wacky hair
Matt Good is known for his asshole opinions
Avril is known for wearing ties ...

meh  I'm not gonna go out and wear ties or die my hair pink but younger fans are influenced easily and may copy their favorite artists, no harm in that .. it's just a phase .. it will fade ..

The tie thing is kind of sexy........just not on Avril, and not all the time. But for people who are adventurous in the sack, it adds a whole new dimension. Its a leash, professional attire, and a bib all in one. 8-)
