I actually am surprised. I didn't expect it to be awesome, as I didn't even like the live version, but I didn't predict it being that awful. I really can't get over what a generic absolute piece of crap that was.
I'll admit it, I'm losing hope with this album. Maybe even the band... They spent two years on this. Two years. We've gone three years since hereing something new (I'm counting KOTM and BTH), and we get short-changed with this. In those two years, they couldn't stumble upon something strong enough to stand as a lead single? I mean, it's possible that it might be just this song since it was one of the last to pop up, but the production style is horrible too. I doubt it's just this song with this type of production. If so, then other songs like Monkey Brains, White Flags, and Dreamland may be ruined because Raine's production.
I don't see how Raine makes a really good solo album that he also produced, to making this horrible song with the band.
I know I'm sounding really negative here, and I'll definitely admit to that, but my hopes for this album just dropped substancially. I don't see how any OLP fans are going to stand behind this song.

Listening to it a couple more times, I actually really like it. It's catchy as hell. I like the vocal harmonizing quite a bit.
They're always better live when it comes to energy.

That's what bothers me too. You know they're capable of so much more
That said, not that it matters (or should) but I think this is going to be a big, big single for them.
