Andrew Largeman shuffled through life in a lithium-induced coma until his mother's death inspired a vacation from the pills to see what might happen. A moderately successful TV actor living in Los Angeles, "Large" hasn't been home to the Garden State in nine years. But even with 3,000 miles between them, he's been unable to escape his domineering father Gideon and the silencing effect he's had on his son from afar. Stunned to find himself in his hometown after such a long absence, Large finds old acquaintances around every corner living quite unique lives as gravediggers, fast food knights and the panderers of pyramid schemes. Meanwhile, at home, he does his best to avoid a long-simmering but inevitable confrontation with his father. By a twist of fate, Large meets Sam, a girl who is everything he isn't. A blast of color, hope and quirks, Sam becomes a sidekick who refuses to ride in his sidecar. Her warmth and fearlessness give Large the courage to open his heart to the joy and pain of the infinite abyss that is life.
and no, I didn't just steal that directly from IMDB just so I wouldn't have to summarize it myself

She's not lying. Honestly. I was going to make a thread about The Departed. The movie is unbelievable. So good.

just saw Borat
it was absolutely hilarious. a couple of parts I couldn't breathe from laughing so hard.
but I guess it depends on the viewer, because I was there with a few people who really hated it (and one who thought it was the best thing ever). personally, I didn't like it that much, but I definitely had a good time.

It's not even in Saskatchewan yet. Stupid studio pulling it out of like 1600 theatres for opening week.

hahaha, if you see it, you'll know why.
there's a few scenes that could be described as "too much"
those were usually the ones that made me die laughing, though

Okay, let it be known that I went to the 9:15 show of Borat on Saturday night. So uh last night, to whoever reads this.
Anyway, it is extremely funny, BUT, that's not the point of this post.
The point is, I have some friends who work at our local movie theatre and as we walked in one of them came up to us and said: "Woody Harrelson is in the 7:00 show of Borat. Theatre 5. He's wearing a black toque." He went on to tell me that he's in town filming a movie. So we waited for the people to start coming out of the theatre and sure enough it really was Woody Harrelson. I was pretty close to him, but didn't bother him. It's not too uncommon to have movie stars in Saskatchewan, Charlize Theron was just here filming a movie too. I just figured I'd share the news.
