I LOVE my cubicle.
But sometimes I really want to smack some of the people I work with.

I'm going to get all weirded out when I go to Vancouver though. I know that people say we talk fast... but I don't really hear it much. Except for the people I've met from the west coast. They have an accent that they don't really know about. They talk slowly. Not really southern slow...but enough to make me want to say "okay, just spit it out already!"

omg my family is from Glace Bay, Cape Breton. They are a hick all there own.
a few examples for those who have never been to Glace Bay:
"whatchat by?" translation: "how are you?"
"tha' thing down ther' over ther'." translation: usually they want you to go get them something and can't seem to use proper englsih words to identify it
"gimma beer by" translation: "I and too lazy to get off my ass and walk the 10 feet to the fridge to grab a beer so could you do it for me"
"you kiss good, by" translation: ...you get the gist of this one hahaha (this was what the first guy I ever kissed said to me 4 years ago, Lol)
and not only is my family Nova Scotian they are a military family. I think all my uncles are in the army and about a quater of my aunts so we get military references left and right. I swear we need our own dictionary.

oh and for those who don't know by is how we refer to people. by=buddy minus the udd

Okay, I live here and I've seriously never heard that by=buddy. We just say both is all. Though I guess in context that would be true...

I donno. Maybe I should stop analyzing it?

we say both too but last time i was down home I asked what the hell by was and thats what I was told so it could be or it couldn't be who knows
