It had something to do with adding the attachment and hitting "preview" and then copying the URL but I can't seem to get it to work.

yes.
1. attach
2. preview
3. click on the attachment link that appears at the bottom of the previewed post
4. copy it and paste it into the post
5. highlight it and click the thing that says [img]

I click "add attaachment" and then "browse" for the photo, find it, put a comment, click "add attachment" or something again (a different button this time) and then "preview" and it's not there!
