My god, I absolutely adore this CD.
Blue Skies Over Bad Lands is probably my favourite. Beautiful, just beautiful.
I'm going to make my own lyrics booklet.. cuz I'm cool that way.

I know if you pre-ordered it from Maple Leaf it said it wouldn't be sent out till June 15th and would take up to 3 Weeks.
I know when I pre-ordered OLP's Gravity reissue it came out on November 19th( I think) I had it within a week of being sent. SO if it was sent out on June 15th, hopefully you will receive it by Monday the latest.
I only bought mine cuase I was still in Canada and wasn't sure if I would get the limited edition(packaging). Plus i didn't want to wait 3 weeks to listen to the CD. SO now I will have two copies instead of one.
BTW, I got my photos back from the show. they came out awesome. I am going ot send them to Matt to put on his site. I mentioned I took some photos and was interested in sending them to him. I wish I could of gone to the show last night. I heard he is touring again in the Fall.I might just have to make another trip up North.
Also The band said they are trying to paly some USA dates. I told them there are lots of fans down here. It is sad that alot of these Canadian Artist can't be played down here or aren't popular down here, yet are incredible.
Nothing against Brit and company, but I rather hear thought provoking intelligent songs then pop-crap over and over. Nothing wrong with mindless lyrics, but you do want to hear something that inspires you also.
I don't really listen to radio anymore. Only at work and that is to listen to Howard. I listen to my CD's instead.
P.S. I forgot to say Best part about CD is the actual CD itself. Says on CD
Insert into player.
Feel the glow of commerce
and fave songs are Poor Man's Grey(awesome live

), It's been along time since I was your man( I love the line that goes get some chinese deliverd and listen to Led Zep 4), Alert Status Red, Blue Mountain Sympathy Orchestra, Bad Idea, and oh course the Country song

HOPELESS

I'm definitely impressed. I think Matt may have taken over as my favourite band/artist.

see, that's the thing keeping it from surpassing BM and AOB in my opinion. I liked the way matt described his emotions, however, it is nice to listen to a matt good cd straight through without hearing anything semi-depressing. So, I don't know. This, musically, has the potential to beat those two cds, but I was so used to the lyrics being emotional. maybe i just need to get used to Matt's new style before I truly compare this cd to the others.

I'm on my first proper listen to the album (or mp3s of it until my CD arrives) and I listened to the radio show thingy a few times too. So far I really love Buffalo 7, We're so Heavy and North American For Life. But the whole thing is amazing. I can't wait for the live shows - 11 days to go
It will be funny to see Shawn again without OLP too.

what is one free shipping day? I haven't head of that before. Is that on this CD or others.
Soozy, since you are going to 3 straight shows, more then likely you will see the Whole CD done live. I did, plus You can't get shot in the back if you don't run. I was just happy to see Avalanche and Near Fantasica done live. It would of been cool to see 21st century living.
also Sunday's show was his anniversary(1 year) and he went into this story about how much his wife puts up with. He said you know how she tries to kill you by putting pills in your drink then drinks it herself. He was joking of course, but he wished her a happy annniversary form stage. Then made ajoke on how next year we( the audience) has to help him celebrate again.
If you see Shawn, tell him you are the person I told him about. He is pretty cool. And it was weird seeing him wiht the guitars and not seeing OLP come out, but in a good way.

Hahaha, poor Gail. I'm having the CD delivered the very next day after it arrives in their warehouse, and all I pay for is the CD.

poor me nothing. I all ready have the CD and got to see it live.
I am only kidding Matt. that is great. I just never heard of 1 day shipping. YOu really save alot of money casue that would be like Fed EX'ing it or UPS it. COOL. Now if they would only get it in their warehouse.
Oh yeah I was so excited by Matt that I forgot to talk about WIL(the opening act)
They are a two peice act. Just Wil on a mean accoustic guitar and Mike on drums. You have to see them. They were really good. They sold out of their CD's so I have to ordered it, but they were amazing to watch. The first night he broke two strings on the guitar purposely and played the song on just the bottom two strings. I dug the songs they did called 'The River' and 'Sweet Rebecca'
Matt, If MGood come to the USA we have to go together. That would be fun.

I bought my album the day it came out.
It's the digi-pack thing.
Damn, do I ever hate that packaging, it doesn't fit properly in my CD collection.
My personal favourite song on this record is 'Empty Road'.

Ok, i've decided that We're So Heavy might just be in my top 3 songs by matt good ever. It's so incredibly good.
'Go shoot down the sun and moon
Close your eyes, live at noon
We don't know what we are
But we're tired of it'
I've had those lines stuck in my head this whole day.

Yeah, I agree...maybe just because its fresh, but fuck, that song is perfect. Not to mention Buffalo Seven which is just about the catchiest song ever.

Yeah, and the riff from ILWABI is the number one 'whistler' for me. Meaning i can't stop whistling it. So catchy. But yeah, Buffalo Seven is quite catchy as well. I find it to kind of be the 'anthem of the album'.
One thing i am surprised at is all the hate towards BSOBL. I really really like it. It's so good. But so many people say that it's too long and that the quiet parts are useless. I don't know, i find it to be great!

Nah, Blue Skies is a perfect length. The album needed atleast one epic.
Who are the people that you speak of who say it's too long?
