I know.
I'm so guilty of doing that when I was younger.
But i'm not an idiot anymore, so yeah.
Its so irritating.

i hate that. especially when they have to take their significant other everywhere they go.

and another reason why the handicap button thing is annoying is because it takes forever for the door to open. the jackass in front of me is too lazy to open the door, so he/she presses the button, now i have to wait behind them for the door to open and for them walk through. i could have been halfway down the hall but no, i am still waiting behind them for the goddamn door to open.

and another annoying thing is when people walk through a door, and don't hold it open for the people behind them. people are so inconsiderate. :cuss:

Yeah that bugs me.

It also bugs me when you can't tell if you should hold the door or not. Like, someone is far enough back that holding the door all that time could be seen as creepy, but close enough that by the time the door fully shut, they would be at the door and have to pull it all the way open again.

Oh, what twisted lives we lead.

that is quite the predicament.

I usually press the handicap button but then I swing the door open really fast and it stays open. It's my way of pretending to have super powers!

Course... as we all know... Nam also BREAKS automatic doors.

And, yeah, if the handicapped button's slow, I'll open the door manually after pushing it. But usually they're pretty fast.

In Defense of the handcapped button thing.

how do you know they are capable. I work with thet public and we are taught never to challenge a handicap cause they can't always be seen.. Like terminal diseases, some injuries, ext. We are told to just let the person in with the Handicap ticket..

I take the elevators now sometimes in stead of stairs. I look healthy enough to walk. I do it cause I have an injury to my feet that is not visible to people. I actually have a fracture in my foot and some days the extra stairs are a killer. Plus now I just found out I have a bone spur on my heel.. GOD I hate having this stuff.. Esp since I have to wear a bandage on my foot and shoes. I hate not being able to wear sandals in the summer.

The one about kids hitting every number on the elevator is so common. kids will be kids, but when an adult does it is annoying..

also that woman with the $20 american bill. Goes to show the true arrogance of some Americans. While Canada will take USA cash( for a fee) in the some places. I always have Canadian money on me.. Easier for me. How hard is it to convert the money before going to the Canada..

Not around here, they're not.

And, in my defense, I actually have problems opening doors sometimes cos they're too heavy. :freak:

But I still don't see the problem with doing it. *shrugs*

 We totally did that every time we got out of the elevators at the hotel at the UCMMU. Not if there was anyone else left in the elevator when we got out, though (not that anyone else could possibly fit in there with us anyway).

Yeah tell me about it. I held the door open once, not only did the person not thank me, they walked past me opened the door and just let it close as I came up to it.

I was once insulted by a person I just held the door open for.

I hear you there. When you generally do something for someone and they can't even say thank you. I get that all the time at work..

My friend once got really mad at me for not inviting her when me and my friends (who are also her friends) rented a movie together. ("And once again I'm left out. You know, I do live close to you, and we like a lot of the same things, and, oh yeah, we're friends')
The reason we didn't invite her : she was at a soccer game.
