It's a fancy name for an album that comes in a cardboard case rather than the standard plastic jewl case. There's nothing digital about it.

Part of the MG adventure. Tonight was Matt's second night in Ottawa. Once again he was amzing live. Got to hear the rest of the songs live tonight. I am really loving this new CD.
here is what he did tonight(fotr those keeping score)
Poor Man'sGrey, Put out lights, Bad idea, Time Bomb, Weapons, Avalanche( which I was glad to see cause I love this song) Alert Red Status, Bufflo 7, Been awhile since I was your man, Load me up, Accoustic versions of Apparations and Can't get shot....
Encores:Gaint(which the audiences was chanting the K I C K A S S...)before they even came back on for encores)
We're so heavy and
Hopless(which is their country song.) Pat (drummer) said in AB they might come out in Country Hats. I said Matt shhould wear spurs.
the show was amazing. Matt wore the best shirt. It had on photos of the 2 Pres: Bush's and Dick Chaney. It said underneath. ASSES of EVIL. I have to get one of those shirts. Overall I had a great time seeing Matt. You guys going to the later shows are in for a major treat.
Best part of today getting burnt copies of Loser Anthems and B-Sides. Now I have all the songs. Yeah. that plus meeting Matt again. He is so cool.
He actually remembed My flight time on Tuesday,.
To whoever asked.
The Digi Pak for the new CD will have lots of extra art work. Other then that nothgin is differetn. Only 25,000 copies were made.

Bought the CD before leaving. It is a gatefold CD. it opens in 3's. There is the front/back covers, then inside is 3 photos of a view of a balcony of somesort, and one photo of Matt. It isgreat in the sense you just pull the plastic off to open the CD.
the Songs are amazing. I really loved Avalanche first listen but this one is just as great.
also i mentioned Matt was wearinga t-shirt that said Asses of evil onit. I asked him where he got it. he told me
www.assesofevil.org
So I checked it out. There are alot of interresting shirts for sale on there. I personally love the Washington/Bush photo that under Washington says could not tella lie, and under Bush says Could. There were other interesting shirts there so check it out.

I actually went to see Matt on Sunday night, and holy shit what a show!!
I really do love the new songs, they were just so...I dunno, rockin. I'll have to get the new CD when I paid on thursday! By far the best part of the night was GIANT, holy crap, I was excited! Mainly because I think that's my fave MGB song...and Near Fantastica, and Acoustic apparitions...wow.
I really wanted to go again, but of course I had to a) work till 11, and b) had NO money from the first nights ticket/alcohol. BUT, on my way to work that night, I'm on the bus, thinking about how I wanted to meet matt again, look out the window, and theres matt and his wife walikng down rideau - DING! STOP REQUESTED! haha, so I got off the bus, rand down the street and (totally out of breath), told him how much I enjoyed the new show, etc ,etc. It was really hilarious actually, but cool just to tell him how much I loved the show and how cool the new CD sounds like its gonna be. Then I caught the next bus, good thing I was early eh?
THEN, on the way home from work, I'm passing by Capital Music Hall, Hear acoustic apparitions coming out of the building, stop to admire, and who comes out the door but the band. I'm like "hey, hows theshow going" and talked to pat, christian (well not really, he was too busy peeing on the side of the building, lol), and Rich. They said the show was good, a little bit smaller than the night before, and way hotter. Me and Pat strarted to talk about last years show which was at a bigger venue, all ages, and sucked because the crowd sucked, threw stuff at Matt, and they left early....Pat was just like "I know! 4 assholes ruin it for all you guys!". But ya, by far this show was a million times better, I was so impressed.
Sounds like you all had a good time, definetly check out the shows, matt and the boys have so much energy it's awesome. I kinda had a random "good" too days - haha, I'm so punny.

So, I haven't bought the cd yet, because i won't get enough money until my summer job... but i couldn't help myself from getting it from the hub.
The cd is much much different than Avalanche. I'd kind of like to say that it is like avalanche's alter ego. I do really really like it. My rankings:
Good Songs: Poor Man's Grey, It's Been Awhile Since I was Your Man, Hopeless
Great Songs: Put Out Your Lights, Empty Road, Alert Status Red, Little Terror, North American For Life
Brilliant Songs: In Love With A Bad Idea, Buffalo Seven, Ex-pats
Masterpieces: We're So Heavy, Blue Skies Over Bad Lands
I am really happy with the way the cd has turned out. The best song is definetly WSH, but everything else is really good. PM'sG is really catchy, but is probably the worst the cd has to offer.
Now compared to the other cds...
I don't know, it's kind of tough since i've only heard some of these songs 3 or 4 times. But I am going to say that it is about as good as Avalanche... but it's tough comparing the two since they are kind of polar opposites.
If you look at the whole cd you'll notice somethings. Avalanche only had 3 or so songs under 4 minutes, this cd only has 3 songs OVER 4 minutes. Also POYL is a completely different opener than POA. It's short, loud, and raw. The overall feeling is also different. It's not depressing like avalanche was at times.
Anyways, i'm sure most fans of matt will like it.

OH, and if you listen closely at the end of Blue Skies, I believe the beginning of Born To Kill is being played. It could just be my imagination, but it really sounds like it. And it might just be Matt telling us once again how raw this cd is since Born To Kill had all that orchestra and stuff. But i don't know. It would be good if somone can confirm this.

Bought it, listened to it. Like everyone says its "raw." It sounds like a high quality live show without the crowd. Love it.
