I hate seeing people be rude to any sort of service people, be it sales people, waiters, etc. It makes me so angry, and I've never even had a job like that. My mom is routinely rude to waiters and my sister and I get furious with her about it.

That said, I also have a personal dislike of being "greeted". I avoid the greeters if possible... speaking with strangers just makes me uncomfortable. I can find what I need for myself. And if I really really really can't, then maybe I will ask.

that's more of what i meant actually, i didn't mean that people who come up to me and ask if i need help are annoying...i know it's part of their job, and it's more of a personal problem because i am incredibly awkward around people i don't know. so i guess my annoyance should be directed at my awkwardness in a situation like that.

but anyway.

i despise photobucket.

1) Sunglasses indoors. You're not that cool and it's not bright in here.

2) Very audible or distinctive chewing/eating. Makes my skin crawl. Ugggh.

3) Persistent whiners (read: roommates)

I'd post the whole list but you'd all run out of hard drive space.

people who don't know how to act at concerts. On one of the other boards I go on we have a whole thread on Concert Pet Peeves.

some of them were:
Talking non stop during the show
screaming obscenties to band members on stage
spilling beer on person next to you, blowing smoke in the face

etc etc.. I pretty much go with the flow on alot of things.. It is just how things are. We can;t control how another person acts in situations..

Happeningfish.: Why does y our mom act that way. Is she getting bad service or she is just rude to them..

since I work with the public it can be a bit stressful at times cause you get blamed for everything.. Customers love to complain about everything and anything.. You be surprise what I hear people get complaints about..

But those are the BEST comebacks, cos it means the person's truly run out of insults and can't think of anything better so they're just like, "Oh yeah? Well... well..... YOU'RE UGLY!!".

I thoroughly enjoy it when that's the best someone can come up with against me.

when people sneak into the exit lane/lane that ends in 50 m's then sneak back into the front of the driving lane (did that make any sense?) in order to bypass traffic when in reality, they are just making the traffic worse by causing people to break to let them in, making the people behind them break and so on and so forth.

when people complain that they want a discount becuase they are getting the display model of something. like shoes. just becuase it is on the display doesn't mean that it is bad. people try on the shoes in boxes too. does that mean those shoes are bad too?

Since this is where we were discussing horrible customers I'm gonna put this here.
My sister just told me this great story from her day at work. She sells icecream from a cart in Ontario place, and today this woman came up to her and ordered icecream for her and her kid. No problem, it cost $5. The woman then hands my sister an American $20 bill. My sister explains that she doesn't have a cash register so she can't accept american money. The woman then freaks out and begins to rant about how American money should be accepted all around the world. She eventually finds a Canadian $5 bill, and pays, but continues her speech. She asks my sister what if she only had American money with her. My sister replied with this, "Well ma'm this is Canada and most places here will expect you to have Canadian money, you know because it's Canada. The woman just then ranted about how American currency should be universal currency.

The same thing happened to us once. We were on our way to newcastle island and you have to take this little commuter ferry for like 10 minutes to get there. So everyone is getting on except this family of four, American tourists. They only had american money and the guy taking money and giving tickets calmly explained several times that they had to give Canadian money so the dad of the family pitched the BIGGEST hissyfit and he's like "THIS IS WHY WE DONT DEAL WITH DAMN CANADIANS". I wouldnt have cared but we were waiting on this stupid stuffy little ferry for like 45 minutes until finally the man said "Well i guess we'll go exchange our money, don't leave". Naturally as soon as the man/family were out of sight the ferry just took off.
