It was supposed to be orgasmic in 3D, according to Lando.

I saw this yesterday I really enjoyed it. I liked it alot.

But everyone acts like James Cameron invented the 3rd dimension or something. I watched Captain EO when I wanted to see 3D for the sake of 3D.

the main appeal of the film was the cgi. it was definitely a treat for the eyes, but that was pretty much it.

I just watched it cause I wanted to see it, not because of the 3D shenanigans. I also watched Titanic because I wanted to see the ship sink and not because of a tragic love story. Oh and Rose's boob was a pleasant surprise too.

Still avoiding Avatar - don't think it will have the same effect it would of in the theatre.

I watched Precious last night - there is not one feel good moment in that movie! Geez - need to find a cheesy happy ending movie to watch now.

I started finally watching Cloverfield last night; however, I fell asleep.

Watched Avatar last night... Even without the 3D, I still found it enjoyable.

Exactly. Just like the main appeal of Toy Story was the fact that it was the first computer animated feature. The kiss at the end of Avatar? You can't possibly name another movie where the interaction between an actual actor and a computer animated figure is that seamless. Story flaws aside, Avatar is groundbreaking solely as a result of its visuals.

Highly recommend it. It's pretty powerful, and it's got a unique style.

im going to disagree with the toy story comment. yes it was the initial appeal, but honestly it still holds up as one of the best animated features, even with all of the quality films that have followed it or expanded or improved on aspects of CG animation film making.

I thought the original Toy Story was great, CGI aside.

as a COMPLETE aside, I LOVE Up.

It's animated. That's why I felt like I had to contribute.

Late, but I just want to add that I adore Toy Story. I was just using its visuals as an example.

Iron Man 2.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I also enjoyed Iron Man 2, great movie!
