after listening to WINDOW SEAT more and more, I'm starting to really love everything about it except Raine's vocals. When he's doing the "la la la" part he sounds so bored aboit it, it should be all in falsetto.. that would make this song one of their best since the classic era.

everything else about this song is just as good as anything on SPIRITUAL MACHINES.

I can't hear anywhere near enough in the clip to make a solid judgement.

He had a very strong vocal performance during the actual live show =) No sense for him to go all out during a soundcheck

Yeah, clip. It's a video clip. Didn't say wasn't full..

You still can't hear it very well.

EXACTLY!!! I don't even think that's the whole song... towards the end he was just going la la la la la la. They didn't play it that night so clearly they didn't think it was ready.....
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

As I said in the Raine's Vocals thread, I can't believe people are still talking about this crap.

I'm too lazy to read the rest of this thread. I assume we still don't have a date on the new album huh?

I still would put money on it being out before Raine's album, but time will tell.

Are you saying that assuming the release date on Raine's website is accurate?

Hopefully you're right. We've already heard quite a bit of material for it to sit for another six plus months. I'd sign up for a fall release at this point.

I wonder when the official .net album 8 build-up will start.

Yeah, I'd still assume Raine's release will be held up.

me either ;) lol

wokring on that all week - got some great ideas , lots of cool new stuff out there now we can make use of. The big issue now is having control over .net and .com - thinking about making the sites unique, maybe .com will be more in line with other band sites, while .net will be a cool place to explore and get lost in?? :)

What do you guys think we should do? and what do you want to see on these sites? I could deff use some fan input on this stuff as that is exactly who the sites are for :)

I really loved it with burn burn when you released a clip of a song and designed the site around the idea of the song, especially the one with paper moon and monkey brains.

ok cool so you guys liked that stuff - CHECK!

song reveals are deff on the table - BUT - what you think we can do that we haven't done in the past? I mean there will be way more social integration with the new stuff for sure and way more content as well but we are just looking for that extra special touch that is really going to grab the fans and new listeners/viewers a like - we really want .net to be a special place for people and who better to ask what that would be then you crazy monkey people :)

Well I'm really excited for the remix contest that was mentioned a while back.

Get that on there somewhere!

What about clips showcasing the development of a song? From the early stages to the final version?

Also maybe on the dot com site there should be a page dedicated to each album, with different stuff about that album on it, this is probably for after the new album is out and you have some time thats not dedicated to the new stuff, but anyways just an idea
