Doesn't LDS = Latter Day Saints = Mormon?

Yes, LDS is Mormon. And I'm not in grade 12. I'm a junior in university.

then you should definatly at least have the basics of biology learned. Or do they tottally refuse to teach evolution, even though it's been without a doubt proven. Even to many Christian organizations.
Any "University" that teaches that Evolution is a myth is no school at all

i definitely believe in evolution, but i can't say that a baby in cellular form isn't human. even if still in a simple form of life, it is alive.

it is alive, but not yet human, same as sperm is not human

i dont see how that can be proven

because there's no distingusible diffrence between it and any other mamal, infact if you get early enough there's almost no difference between us and reptiles and birds. We all come from a common ancestor, and as we develop we slowly branch away into our own pathes

there has to be something different that makes it develop into a recognizable human. Maybe we dont know what it is yet, but there has to be something there.
it can't be purely environment, or a cellular reptile could be transplanted into a human and come out as one.

In our grade 12 biology book sthere was a photo comparing the development of different species at various stages. I'm trying to find it right now online but having no luck. It would support Sean's argument.

we actually watched a video on it. It even explained about Daulphins and Dogs being related and shows the simar skeletal structure and shows almost identical embryo's

i remember a picture like that in my text last year. but still, there has to be something different.
again we may not have discovered what yet...

what's diffrence is the total chromosone count it will evtually reach, but at that point it hasn't.

like i said before, i'm not for abortion exactly, but i don't see as big a deal with aborting cell clusters. Because it's really not that diffrent then spermicide.
the Church also never used to beleive in Condoms, infact if your Catholic is still doesn't, and it promotes poking holes in condoms.

yep. i know about the whole not supporting condoms thing....
but i wouldn't say it promotes poking holes. even if some guy said it at one point or another, i HIGHLY doubt any truth in this part.

don't quote me on it but i think the Pope Still promotes it.
As for the name of the process i coudln't find it but i know it's linked to the idea of "Embryogenesis", many animals develop the same or slightly modified strcutures, even if they're used for completely diffrent reasons

i found the term it's "Ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny", also called the "biogenetic law" or the "theory of recapitulation", at least i'm pretty sre that it

now that i think of it, i guess it's
possible that wrecking condoms so they can't be used could be promoted.
but .i can't imagine poking a whole to decieve your partner into thinking you have protection.
i'm not sure which you were implying, but maybe i just misinterpreted

In public education systems they of course teach evolution. I haven't been required to take an biology here yet, but I should. The church does believe in evolution and it goes along with our beliefs, but it would be pretty much pointless to try and explain it to you. If you look it up, you'll see BYU is a highly respected, accredited university that is very, very hard to get into. They don't go around teaching us renegade theories. I don't care if embryos look the same, and that they can't be proven yet as different animals. They are human. Something is telling it to become human, it is on it's way. I think of mothers who have miscarriages in early in the pregnancy and how traumatized they are. They know that they had a human life inside them. My Grandma had a miscarriage before my Mom, and she was so upset and attached that they actually had a name for it.
