In reality, I'm thinking child psych would be endlessly interesting.

I think so too, but I realize I am just way too emotional to get involved w/ kids' problems.

Mmm, wisdom.

I wanted to be a child psychologist.

Then I realized its too much pressure and uncertainty. I mean....you're their one hope..if you fuck up.........ouch.

Now I'm a psych major...........as well as pre-vet. I will be the best 'seeing into people and knowing what they think and mean' veterinarian out there

Of course, since pre-vet = pre-med and my school is like.......number one pre-med school, and 90% of the people were bred, born, and raised for UCLA pre-med......the curves are kicking my ASS.

sigh

question...

is it suicidal to be taking both calculus and data management next year?

considering this year i'm taking gifted functions & relations, and am almost drowning (CONICS CONFUSE THE FUCK OUT OF ME!!!!)

not to smart... ahhh im NOT looking forward to next year.. the pressure!

You should be able to handle it.

i dont know what the workload's like for data management, but i have calculus and geomety(supposedly the hardest of the three) both this semester and i'm getting by okay.

if it means anything, i hated conics too.

nope, it's u of m - dearborn for me. i would've gone to ann arbor, had it not been for the fact that i really don't like being in debt for the rest of my life.

I'm headed to the U of A this fall in Science. I'm thinking of majoring in Psych and minoring in Sociology but that could change. I would still love to go into a field that could get me into journalism.

So many of my friends are taking a year off since most of them have no clue what they wanna take just yet.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

I know a lot of people who "took a year off" and never went back to school.

One thing for all of you going to school and unsure of exactly what for.

Do not use college and take random classes to "find your calling". If you aren't sure, just take classes that fulfull GEs or something.

I vowed never to take math/chem, ect again after high school.
Then I decided after fall quarter that I was going to do pre-vet.

I am now STRUGGLING to take the math which correlates to physics and chem and trying to catch up before I hit the credit limit for pre majors. I have to start at pre-calc, and take a test to get into it.......which means I HOPEFULLY can do it in the fall.

And I decided after one quarter. I can't imagine the stressful situation I would be in if I had decided any later.............unless I had enough money to pay for 6 years of undergrad :P

Okay, now that everyone's applied and the vast majority have decided, I'm putting out one final request for this info (rather than reading through the whole thread)...

Is anyone here going to Queen's? Please?
