seriously though, i think the need to share your work with other people and get feedback on it is kind of overwhelming

I personally wouldn't do it, but there are thousands of people who would -- people trying to make money. And it's so simple -- just copyright everything and at least some of it will make money for you eventually. The internet would be the smartest place to go to start chomping up copyrights on art and literature. I want to share some of my stuff for feedback but I haven't copyrighted anything so I can't.

i have all of mine typed on the computer... and i have alot of them hand written... so it would be stealing

But how would you prove you wrote it before someone else?

Put it in an envelope addressed to yourself and send it through the mail. It's the easiest way to get the government to acknowledge that it's yours. Just never open the envelope until it's necessary.
