I ain't payin' $200 to some scalper for a wristband!
I hate, absolutely hate, suggesting this... but think we should ask the band for help?

I'd say we could just find people with them, but there's a LOT of us, and 2 free wristbands per resident isn't a lot.

Anyone with a 'I am Healthy in Paranoid Times' wristband gets in.
Doubt the actual wristbands would sell for $200

Haha, no... but scalpers are stupid and always overprice tickets. Plus I refuse to do business with people who make their living screwing over music fans.
... if only our HIPT wristbands WOULD get us in!

True.
But could you imagine if some of us got in and others didn't? Talk about resentment.

Oh, also. We have to make sure Matt gets a wristband... dude's traveling the furthest, got off work to go, and will be recording for everybody's benefit.

2nd dibs on wristbands then since I'll probably be 2nd furthest.
Plus I'm offering free rides from Buffalo.
BTW we need to find a spot in Buffalo to meet up at. Or Megan if there's a spot in Fredonia you can leave your car at.
After driving some POS town and Country minivan around Toronto I can't wait to drive my own car again.

Ooo and there's always rushing the gate or distracting the wristband checkers.
It's outdoors I'm sure there are plenty ways in.
And I'll grab a handfull of those heating gel pad things they sell at the Outdoors store back in Cbus for everyone.

My parents suggested contacting some of the places that have the wristbands, explaining that there are people coming in from TN to see this show (make it sound like that's where we're all from if we have to), and ask if they can mail us a couple of wristbands. We would cover postage and maybe offer to eat at their restaurants or something the night of the show. It's a thought.
WE WILL PERSEVERE!

Kathy wrote:okay, so the wristband policy for Brampton residents puts a bit of a kink in the planning process. I don't know any Brampton residents.
Do you know Russell( From CK's board and fan) He lives in Brampton. Or use to..Email him..
Oh and try calling. They may be able to help you.. I was lucky wiht a few things when I needed to get stuff only available to Canadian People. It can not hurt. More then likely though they will say sorry can not help you, but tickets may be available the night of the show..

it worked better in person though. I can not tell you how many times I got stuff just from my accent.. Hey being American does have it's advantages some times.
Good luck to everyone going..

Calling and begging and saying how far we're coming wouldn't be a bad idea, really. Certainly couldn't hurt!

I was asked by a staff member at the city of brampton to remove the names and direct phone number from the website as her mailbox was filling up over and over agian. I am assuming many of which were from the OLP community! LOL.
She told me to wait until late thur or early fri, as she is working on something that should get everyone the wristbands you are all seeking. She asked I don't say anything as it needs to get the proper approvals first. So stay tuned...
Cheers
Rich
