My thoughts (and I wouldn't consider myself a huge gamer) are WHO CARES? These are the people (the modders of the Xbox) that spend time and money on your product - just let it go Microsoft!

Of course I really don't know a whole lot about it and can barely figure out how to get online with my Wii sometimes!

The arguement is that they are taking away money from microsoft and breaching the terms of agreement. Also, this happened right before the modern warfare launch. People were going to play that game whether they had to pay $70 or not.

I think they also disabled any 3rd party memory as well which is equally stupid.

Anyways the result has been a ton of people who haven't modded their xbox's, getting lumped into that group. There is just a HUGE number of people pissed about it whether they did mod or not.

Ok, I was just under the understanding that the modders get cheats and such - like different weapons, etc...told you I didn't really know much!

It is basically like the music business in a way I guess, with all the illegal downloading. I don't agree that people can get something for free that others can't or won't.

Ok, I don't have a great point to argue since I have stated (numerous times) that I don't know much about it, thank you Sarah for the info!

If you pay for your games then you won't have an issue. I don't steal games so I just laughed at people who were banned.

Guys.

MASS EFFECT 2.

It's fucking brilliant.

Get it (for PC).

It has improved upon the original in about EVERY SINGLE WAY EVER.

It is also EPIC and BADASS. There are many more POSITIVE ADJECTIVES that I could use to describe the game.

If you didn't like the combat in the first game, this one plays closer to a standard 3rd person shooter.

Your loss.

I can't see any other game this year topping it. I might go so far as to say it was better than Uncharted 2, which was the clear GOTY last year.

It had one of the most intense endgame sequences I've ever played. Anyone on your team can die (and I mean 'die for reals in story' and not 'drop in combat'), and if they do, it's all on your shoulders.

No idea how BioWare is going to top themselves.

I dunno, Assassin's Creed 2 was ridiculously good. Regardless, I do plan on picking up Mass Effect 2 but I worry that I will be missing out on a lot having not played the first Mass Effect.

If you can find it cheap and you have the cash to spare, I really would recommend picking up the first ME and doing an import into ME2.

For one thing, it feels awesome to continue 'your' Shepard like that, and for another a lot of the default choices that it decides you make if you start a new ME2 character just plain suck.

If you get it on PC, though, you can download ME1 savegames to import into ME2.

But yeah, I really liked a lot of the ME1 characters and it's worth getting to know them before you see what they're up to in ME2. However, you can still start ME2 fresh and not be totally lost or anything.
