I would like to see Watchmen.

Last movie I saw was Twilight at a 'brew & view' at a bar. You would think that having to be 21+ would equal small crowd, but no, it was packed and these people were raucous.

They're showing I Love You, Man early on Thursday and I'm pumped as I love me some Paul Rudd and Jason Segel.

I saw Watchmen last night. there were some things I liked, some things I didn't. I thought there were really only three actors who played their parts well - Rorschach, Ozymandias, and the Comedian. The rest were kind of leaden. I was surprised - it was more faithful to the graphic novel than I was expecting . . . and I knew about the major deviation before I saw it, which helped me not to be too upset about it. I'm still pretty ambivalent about the film though.

ozymandias kind of sucked... a lot... now night owl's character was very close to the way he's represented in the book, except for one problem. they cut out one of the most important character building scenes of his.

I really want to see this now so I'll know what y'all are talking about. Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend.

i don't know, i thought nite owl seemed . . . not quite right. i connected a lot more with him in the graphic novel than i did in the movie - he didn't seem earnest enough, i think was the problem. but maybe watching it again will change my mind. you thought ozymandias sucked? i thought the arrogance and ego were balanced pretty well with his idealism. it wasn't a perfect representation, i realize, but i thought it was pretty well done.

he didn't even seem similar at all to his character in the book. he actually seemed intelligent in the book and in the movie they had to literally throw it in your face that he was the smartest man in the world and in the book along with his intelligence, he has a sort of charming and confident air about him, which doesn't come through at all with the actor.
only near the end when they're trying to attack him can you sort of see that confidence, but nowhere near how it is in the book when they talk about how he can catch a bullet and content like that.

he looked really weak and wimpy to me. maybe it was the face. i dunno. didn't like that character much right from the start, mainly from the look of the actor.

Just got back from a free screening of I Love You, Man. It was funnier than expected, I liked it better than Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Then again, I am a big fan of Jason Segel and Paul Rudd so I'd probably see anything they were in. I really liked Rashida Jones on The Office so I was sad when she really didn't have much to do in the movie other than be Paul Rudd's fiance, pretty boring. John Favreau has a small part but he's pretty hilarious in it.

Oh, and you should probably see this if your a fan of Rush as they are in the movie and mentioned quite liberally throughout.

Nope, unless they were in the background and I missed them. The reception is only shown in the credits and Jason and Paul are onstage playing Rush songs, that's the only wedding band I saw.

just watched the watchmen. i haven't read the original story, but even after hearing not so great things about the film and being prepared for a mediocre movie, i was unimpressed. the whole thing felt too convoluted, yet dragged out. quite possibly the longest three-hour movie i've ever sat through

I watched Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. It was cute, it was OK, but not something I would want to buy.
