It was me who uploaded it... I thought the entire OLP fanbase out there should be able to hear it. I added captions for the lyrics as well.
But... I've changed it to "unlisted" for now (only those with the link to it can watch it) and we'll see what Trusty thinks, and what he thinks the band thinks.

No one's mad or anything. I just don't think we should abuse what the band gave a select few people, since they were generous enough to do it. Plus if they aren't pissed at us, it'll be more likely we'll get cool stuff like this in the future.

Truthfully, I don't think the band would care if it was posted. They have always been about just getting the music out there... heck, Raine encourages recording songs and putting them up on YouTube at their shows! That being said, can someone either post the link here or PM it to me? Thanks in advance!

I think what's happening with the demo is exactly what Trusty/the band had intended to happen....
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

I love the clip too, but I wish Raine would soften his vocals and make them a bit more natural-flowing, atmospheric and emotionally invested during the verses and the bridge. I know this is probably just a rough vocal, but I really want to be blown away by Raine's vocals again.

First, I love the demo clip. I love that they are using more minor chords. And this clip sounds very very SM-ish. Also Radiohead-esque.
Second, I like this clip, and it works here, but Raine needs to get some more emotion into the verses again! Just listen to anything from Naveed or Clumsy and compare to now. Yeah, the style is different, but just listen to how much raw emotion was in his voice before. Now it gets filtered out in some pursuit of smooth perfection. For this song, it works. But for most, I'd rather feel what he is saying, not just hear it.

i'm listening to the performance of denied from 6-16-1995 and there is so much feeling in raine's voice and just something really special brewing from him. i switched to above from the spiritual machines show @ the royal theatre.. he sounded bored and unconvinced.. maybe he's tired out now-a-days and has said everything he's wanted to now and he's like "uhh".
i don't know.
hopefully he can channel some old raine into the new stuff.

Yeah those were amazing performances. There's a video from 1997 of them doing Let You Down as well.... it was epic, so much energy, they blew it out of the damn park.
