today my day was made when i was walking over here. there were these little kids outside, and one of em goes "you're breaking your mother's back"! and the other one's like, :freak: and they started going "step on a crack, break your mother's back!" I just couldn't help thinking about how true that is...

^ reminds me of Carnival and how much I loooove that song :-D

I've never been so happy to be in my house, with my beloved pet bird and my puter.

I'm plagued by mosquito bites.....OUCH!!!!!! And when I was in Maine, I cut my wrist when I was trying to disassemble my cot. (damn camping) So, now it really looks like I attempted to commit suicide. (yes, that'll be really great for my future career in child psychology)

on Saturday, this guy said something that completely made my day.

Guy: "My family and I agree that you have the best socks and shoes that we've seen in a long time!"

Me: (looking down at my pink high tops and my striped socks) Thanks!!!!!

We need more people like that guy and his family in this world!!!!

None of the daycares around here pay enough, barely above minimum wage and working in a daycare isn't really what I want .. I'm going back to school next year to get my degree in the Child and Youth Worker course, another 3 years 8O and then hopefully end up working at a Children's Aid Society  Years and years down the road I'd like to open up a home daycare but most daycares out there are doing things I don't agree with .. there are just some people out there who should NOT be working with children :|

Another thing I realized.. Ben Folds is REALLY bad at trying to sing Hebrew... I downloaded this live thing where he sings Hava Nagila, but he completely butchers the accent.. it just wasn't workin out..

oh, my mom doesn't work at a daycare...oh, what's preschool called in Canada??? is it Jr. Kindergarten or something??? Yeah, I think that's what it's called. and I know EXACTLY what you mean about people who shouldn't be working with children. I worked at a preschool program for autistic children during this summer, and there were some people I worked with that definitely shouldn't have been working there. They made me SO mad.

Bah I know .. I have so many stories of supervisors and teachers that I just wanted to freak on but couldn't since I was just a student on placement. All the daycares I've been too have an infant room, a toddler room and a preschool room .. preschoolers are 2-5 years old .. Jr. Kindergarten I don't really agree with .. way too rigid and structured for 4 year olds .. at one of my placements I watched a 4 year old get yelled at for coloring 'messy' and 'outside of the lines' .. :wtf: She's 4!!!! That's how she's supposed to color! UGH! Preschool is much better, then once their 5 send them to Kindergarten

My Winamp is set to shuffle, and I have 477 mp3s.

And yet, I still end up hearing the same songs everyday.

My friends band is opening for Avril in Ottawa in 8 Days!

i talked to him last night, god I miss the guy...me and the camp friends are making random camp joke signs and holding them up during the show...haha, people will think were retarded until they see the drummer doing the same thing as us!

He also told me he'd introduce me to the drummer of Avril, Matt something...hmmmm  The where having a party in his band hotel room...!!!!!!!

Hahaha, as well he apparently told avril all about my camp (a camp for diabetic kids..) She thought it sounded great...were like "Bring her to camp next year!" lol

At camp I did an enrique Airband with all the other staff. It was too escape and we all had HUGE MOLES drawn on our face with brown eyeliner.

Funnest. Thing. Ever. Impersonating Enrique is sooooooo much fun! I think the kids loved it too!
