Game Informer also reporting that the next Xbox is supposedly being developed for release in 2010, and it will bring your 360 achievements, gamerscore, etc. along with it.

I saw the debut trailer for Banjo, and I think it looks like it could be a great game. Build your own vehicles out of random parts and use them to get through what appears to be open-world missions. The trailer even takes a shot at Mario right at the end.

Let the rumors begin! (Re: Xbox 360 Spring Update)

http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/05/14 ... tion-sens/

Whole list of possibilities here. Interesting is the addition of a 4 person conference chat. Also, the ability for the console to recognize "motion based" perphs'. While this doesn't exclude the Live Vision camera, this could also mean something new is on the way.

Right. Reports from Microsuck are still saying "soon." Whatever soon may mean.

Frank "Frankie" O'Conner from Bungie (the man responsible for Bungie's weekly update posts on anything Haloz) has announced that he is leaving Bungie.

He stated he is going to Microsuck to continue working more closely on the Haloz franchise.

Well we now know Halo3 wasn't the end. Halo sports games here we come!

Oh and Landon I forgot to tell you about a story I heard on Gears2. In case you hadn't already heard.....

Cliffy B announced his (Epic's) intentions to REGULATE player ability to unlock multiplayer achievements. Cliffy B basically stated in the interview that he wants to make Gears2 "achievement whore" prone.

For instance, lets say there is an achievement for 10,000 head shots. Each match only your FIRST head shot will count toward the achievement total. Every following head shot regardless of how many you get will NOT count toward the achievement total.

What do you think of this idea?

I think it's pretty shitty. I mean, why not just make it 50,000 headshots then? My buddy Steven Skaggs who you know, had to get 11,540 kills to get his 10,000 kill achievement on the first Gears of War. That was 1,500 kills more than it should've been... and clearly a lot more time invested to get the achievement as well. It's not going to slow anyone down. If anything, it's just going to promote boosting, because people are going to realize... hey... if only the first kill counts, why play the whole match of 10 rounds? They'll set up 1 round matches with their friends and boost for the kills or headshots or whatever they need.

Right. Good points. Hopefully somebody else has thought of this as well and is bringing this up to Epic because its true. If they keep this idea then getting multiplayer achievements on GoW2 definitely will not be enjoyable.

more people will be driven to boost to get em, rather than actually achieving them... it's inevitable!

Best Buy, Harmonix, and Microsuck have teamed up to offer a promo attached to the upcoming release of Disturbed's new album. If you preorder it through Best Buy website (U.S. residents only) you get 2 free tracks to download and play on Rockband.

The kicker: Best Buy's site and Disturbed's site have one song different. Both list "Inside the Fire" as one of them.

According to posts in the RockBand forums this most likely means that you will get to choose 2 out of those 3 to have for free, and then all 3 (plus maybe more....perhaps another 6 pack) will be available on both the PSN and XBLM on the album release week. The first week of June.

So the songs will be available to both systems, but only Xbox is getting the chance to get 2 songs for free. I ain't preordering. I'll download them from the XBLM after the release.

Just giving you all a heads up even though this news is a couple weeks old.

Some of you may have known this already, but I didn't. I guess that's why I shall post.

MGS4 is the last everybody will apparently see of Snake's story. It won't be the end for the Metal Gear series though.

More Raiden, I expect?

I didn't mind Raiden in MGS2 but goddamn super kickass cyborg Raiden looks all the badass.

Next week's Rock Band release is going to be the self-titled album by The Cars. Sweet merciful crap!

I'm liking this one! A solid album that will be followed by Disturbed the week after. I'm loving this.
