Blah. I missed the announcement of the tour AND the selling out of BOTH Philly shows while I was gone.

Ahh well, I don't have the money anyway.

They sold out pretty quickly. the second show was added the day of public sale.. i am surprised they did not add another MSG show..All # NYC area shows sold out in 20 minutes.. they are coming back in the Fall though..

they do release tickets for shows. it is apain though.. as it gets closer to the shows chek with TM. the night of the show they released tickets 1 hour before band went on stage.. it wasa nightmare last time.I am trying to get last night in Boston and One of the Phiily shows.. We never had problems getting tickets before. They have sold out =, but now it is next to impossible to get seats cause teh scalpers buyup the seats then sell on ebay and the fanclub did an on-line sale this time. they only gave you a day though.. they announced the tour on a Mondy and put the tickets on sale that Tuesday. To make matrers worse alot of people couldn;t get though.. the band and thier managers sent oput apology to the fans, but it doesn;t help when you are todl yo ucan get tickets before the sale and then don;t.. Last time you had at least 3 weeks before the sale to get in your request..

LANDO. did you get vacnouver in presale . It was today.. let us know..

No, I didn't find out until I got your email. U2 should have emailed people about these dates too, because of that I couldn't get GA tickets. I'm not going to drive 20+ hours to get to Vancouver for really bad seats or $160 tickets either. The fact that it cost $40 US to sign up and I'm canadian already hurts, especially not being able to take advantage of good tickets. I feel like being a $1500 seller to get my revenge!

But instead, my revenge was emailing u2.com and complaining.

Lando you can get a refund if you like. got this email today.. I was a Propaganda member so I am happy to se that maybe in the fall I will be able to get tickets. Alot of good that does us now though.  We are still going to go the shows we were tryingto get tickets for.. May is a long way offf yet..I wish you luck with Vancouver. did the regular sale happen yet..

This is not something that I would normally do, but I feel that I have
to do something to redress this situation.

There was a mess up in the way the tickets were distributed through
U2.com for the Vertigo pre-sale. Some of it was beyond our control, but
some of it wasn't.

I am now in the process of figuring out a way of distributing the
tickets for our intended return to North America in the fall. The only
fair way of doing this, is to give U2 Propaganda members, who are now
U2.com members, priority in the queue.

After that, people will be given priority in the order in which they
joined.
Many people who joined U2.com and didn't get tickets are
understandably angry. They now have the option to get a full refund of
their subscription fee.

The idea that our long-time U2 fans and scalpers competed for U2
tickets through our own website is appalling to me. I want to apologise
to you who have suffered that.

If your U2.com pre-sale experience has left you disappointed, I hope
this will go some way towards reassuring you of our total commitment
to our audience.

Slainte
Larry.

By the way, a note to those so-called U2 fans who are quick to accuse
U2 of unseemly behaviour, I've only got two words for you...

I started abusing the ticketmaster site 5 minutes before the actual sale went online and even with the BEST AVAILABLE option selected it wouldn't find anything. Then about 7 minutes later they added another Vancouver date, now they're playing the 28th and 29th, but there are no tickets on sale for the 29th yet GRRRRRRR

It's ridiculous how fast concerts can sell out. It's way worse when you actually go to a store's Ticketmaster outlet for it and that happens before you get your tix, though. Thank god for the internet now.

It sells out fast becasue there are

1) alot of hackers

2) when you have 100's of people on line at once, where maybe there weree only a handful before..

lots of shows sell out before evern going on sale

I'd sell my life into slavery or sell my soul to anyone or become a lab rat for fatal experimental drug testing for some U2 tickets.
