Quick preview of how its comming along so far. Very little of it is actually complete except the lights on the front. As you can see vital parts such as the side windows, wheels and grill are missing plus every other part besides the lights need significant detail added to it. Its large.. so I apoligize in advance.

Here is the final product. This is my third vector and i've definetely come along way since my first but i'm still not where I want to be. My goal is to get good enough that people will mistake my vector for the real thing untill they look a little closer. I dont think i'm there yet but i'm close....

i think that could look fine on the right background
i mean on a white background the shadows and what not are more noticeable but if you were to put that on an actual road or something it could work IMO

True enough. If I made the vehicle smaller it also could work, but i'm not about to do that quite yet. It all comes down to getting a better handle on how to shade the vehicle which in the end requires much more time spent on it. For those who know photoshop, the Bentley above took roughly 250 layers (give or take) and i'm guessing it would take another 50 to get it near photorealistic.

Man, that's amazing. A couple of things to improve the realism: make the wheels black, and (if it's put on a background), add reflections of the surroundings on the whole car - body, windows, and all.

But man, that is absolutely outstanding.

Eesh. :freak: I hate working on graphics with like... 5 layers. I'd go into spasms trying to work on one with 250.

This is like a Frankenstein thread. It was dead but now it's alive.

Hey it makes just as much sense as nikki's post. :P
