I have to bring this to the top; I think I'm going for the third time tomorrow. I saw it once NYE and once Friday the 2nd.

I think I was the last person to see a Lord of the Rings movie (I like to read the book before I see the film, and I despise Tolkien), and I used to make fun of my friend for seeing the early showing and travelling to New Zealand. But now we're arguing over Aragorn.

so, uh, why are you watching it for the third time if you don't like it?

I have determined that Aragorn is not cool.

First off, hes scared of commitment. he's all "I don't wanna be king" in a place where being king ment easy dictatorship. And he doesn't even have to worry about Bush!

Second, he goes for the crazy elf type. That whole Arwin love fest was fine and all but then she gave up her immortality. Which is like getting married only worse. This time a lawyer can't fix it.

Then when he has Arwin waiting in the wings and hes having wet dreams about her and such, hes a jackass and starts leading on some annoying princess-y misses who can't sing. Not only is he playing everyone in the movie, hes going for girls who are significantly younger then him. Significantly.

Stupid git.

I can't stand him.

And on top of that, he's all greasy and ugly and stuff. Blah.

I hate the books, love the movies.

And I'm sorry, but Aragorn is totally . Greasy-nasty, floating in the water (I've only seen Two Towers EE), not so much at his coronation...but yeah, Viggo on the cover of Vanity Fair=

You should really read the books

The books are good. Movies are probably more enjoyable though. You can't really compare a book and a movie even if it is the same story.

aragorn....
legolas...

The trilogy (books) are really awesome I read RotK 4 times....

The Trilogy ( movie) is excellent because if you cant figure out what things were in the book, they seemed to detail alot about that in the movies, except I heard they cut out almost 2 hours because of length, thus excluding many details ... i cant wait for the extended edition
