your own ghost wrote:independant record stores stock bright eyes in droves. that is, if you can stand the hipster dipshit that works there giving you dirty looks the whole time.
The local record store from my house gets the psuedo punks and the punks that listen to good music in there all the time. First off, the bitches in their Green Day and Good Charlotte shirts walk into the place, start pushing people out of the way, and predictably look at the horrendous music. They say they're "punk" but not once did they venture away from the pop/rock section. The section where I live (indie) was at least safe for the time being. Two more girls walk into the place, and they're more believable for the punk scene. In fact, they seemed like they were worth speaking to, seeing that they had cool patches like One Man Army and the Sex Pistols on their pants. I say "nice patches" and they tell me, "yeah, stop talking to me." Needless to say, I was a little bothered by that, and some one had their One Man Army bumper sticker ripped off her car then some one mysteriously spat on her car repeatedly. Hmmmm, interesting. I go to the front desk and this guy is talking to a girl and gives her an application and says the words, "we'll probably hire you." I go up there and ask if they were hiring, and of course, they told me no. I go in there at least once a week and usually buy cds from there, but god forbid they ever give me a chance to work there. Fuck them, I am boycotting them and looking for a new store with good vinyls.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I go in that store more often then half their staff does, so why the hell can't I get a job there?

yeah i only go to my local indie stores when i have absolutely no other choice. if i can get it at HMV or A&B i will, because i just don't like dealing with those cock suckers at listen.
anyways i went in there the other day, and of course, the greasy haired hipster dweeb working there completely ignores me while he's chatting with his non-employee greasy haired hipster dweeb friend.
and what are they talking about? you guessed it: the superiority of vinyl to CD. i couldn't believe it. about 5 minutes after i get there, they guy moves on to how he just got this "crazy noise album" from some completely obscure guy and how it sounds so good on vinyl bla bla bal. i wanted to slap him upside the head and yell "are you a walking stereotype?!" he even had the thick rimmed glasses. it was unreal.
