theres nothing wrong with texas...well, at least not austin...coolest damn town in the country...after nyc of course...sometimes i regret declining NYU, though...but im saving my parents at least 90 grand...and U of Texas kicks ass

Well, I was talking about the small towns in the middle of nowhere Texas.

eek. nyu is freakin expensive. i applied there, i really wanna go but i don't think we'll be able to afford it.

well...ill give u that...nowhere, tx does suck pretty hard
and wow, good luck with nyu...like one years tuition at nyu is basically the equivalent of 4 years here (though its gonna take me 4.5 years in all to graduate...damn double major...but its ok, only 4 semesters to go) and since im the biggest mooch off my parents already, i figured id stay in texas and take advantage of in-state tuition (though they dont live in texas anymore...shhhh)

Mooching off your parents is great, but when your mom calls, and is in tears because she has to give you all of her finances for a month so that you can pay tuition on time, and will only have 200 for the month because of you, and the electricity company wants to turn off the electricity because she can't pay the bills, and she has to ask relatives for money...that, my friends, that can increase your stress level and not make you feel so great.

I have a lot of Bat Mitzvah money, so I'll actually be able to afford at least two years. I'll also be starting as a sophomore... and I won't have to worry about room/board because I'll be moving in with my fiancee. So it won't be so bad.

yeah, so am I, but working 45 hrs/week during the summer didn't get me the 3,000 I needed to enable me to pay all of room and board.
