ok i wrote this one two days ago, its supposed to be a song but it doesnt really work...so im gonna just call it poetry.....yeah :freak:

disclamer: i've never written a song or poem in my life

Claustrophobia

Pain echoes through a cavity
Of famished emotions
This masochistic butterfly
Wilts shadowed to the ground
Her tower of morbid bravity
Goes hence through the motions
Piety abandon screams high
To the maker unfound

She cries out to the stars
But they never seem to hear
The desperate call for solace
Tell me, tell me

Chorus

Who’s out there
To lead me away from home
My envelope is weakening
Now I’m bare and all alone
I can’t hide myself in here
It’s too small to hold me in
Someone please
Help me out

She thinks the sky is painted black
The moon begins to fade
Distant memories creep out of sight
From the cross that they made

**chorus**

steph, that was very cool, you should write more

here's something i wrote a while ago but developed a little more this summer:

Envigoration swims through my heart
My lungs are filled
to the point of no return
I scream my voice out
Blood pulsing in my wrists
my neck
my head
Throw it back
and feast upon the air
Revel in the moment
Let it become you
Let it embody your soul
And they shall pass
At least together and not apart
Lick a finger: feel the now.

84:Rain Down

Releive yourself of my hate
just filth your mind
with everything youtake now
Maybe i have to begin
weave the pointlesness
the messege fate inside
kick aside the screams
make your move to right your wrong

Rain down on me
While I hide beneath
these city streets
Rain Down on me
While I hide inside
this restless night

While you give your hundred
million dollar just enough
hear my words of wisdom
Keep your head above
Hear the years the days
the months the weeks of rain
number the dreams you make
filling the hours to come

Rain down on me
While I hide beneath
these city streets
Rain Down on me
While I hide inside
this restless night

Give each side a try
another night inside
flying high on life
shot down by it too
throwing money
from your pocket
just an evil dancing day
can't you see my life is never way

Rain down on me
While I hide beneath
these city streets
Rain Down on me
While I hide inside
this restless night

Leave the right behind you
it always brought you down
keep up the retrieval
never meant much to you

Rain down on me
While I hide beneath
these city streets
Rain Down on me
While I hide inside
this restless night

Rain down on me
While I hide beneath
these city streets
Rain Down on me
While I hide inside
this restless night

This isn't mine, but i think it's incredibly beautiful, especially if you've ever flown a plane.

High Flight

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds...and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of...wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

ok. I NEVER write poetry, I'm not good at that kind of stuff, but sometimes I get these weird burst of creative energy, and this was the product.

Embraced in a mist of a melancholic sweetness,
will someone please save me from this madness?
Tightly wrapped in the arms of a purple dysphoria,
Drawing me closer, I cannot escape.

Held in the grips of a sadness so deep,
I fervently whisper a humble prayer.
Crying out to the one who must hear it so plainly.
Imploring whole-heartedly, "Unshackle me"
For I am lost in a crowd of emotionless faces,
Silently drowning in the tears of an endless boredom.

Come take my hand and we'll fly away,
floating higher and higher from this iron-clad darkness,
Firmly clasped in the drone of a monotonous suburbia.

Hands entwined, we'll drift away,
Far from the piercing glow of the street lights,
a constant reminder of a life unfulfilled.

And when the journey suddenly ends,
We'll find ourselves in a place of eternal content,
Set free from the veil of mediocrity,
Enriched in the rays of an everlasting bliss
happily emanating from our golden bodies.

But, alas, the prayer was whispered inaudibly,
the plea laying broken and unfulfilled.
The cries of calling out to the one who must hear it,
unanswered; the image of joy is a dream.

I'm sure y'all will recognize the point of me writing this.

Don't Be A Runaway

Sweet, sweet Julia...
where were you tonight?
I thought you were going to be with me,
Going to stand by me forever.

You need to know your friends,
you need to trust in me.
I'm not going to hurt you,
I'm with you through and through.

Everybody ends up here in bottles.
It's not something to live with,
you can beat this, get through,
find the other side of this hell.

Whatever you say, whatever you do,
there'll a person standing with you.
Can you remember that?
Can you stay with me, at least through tonight?

Story about the world...
you can't trust many anyday.
But, you can trust me, Julia,
just don't be a runaway.[/i]

Two in a row. Go me.

"Seedy Side of Town"
She was alone this morning.
Colors dancing in her open eyes,
the streetlights changing below.
She's spent so long here,
she couldn't possibly imagine...
living.

"Hangover"
Heather's only 15 years young
but Heather's got a gun
and it's loaded full and ready,
Heather's not going to take shit
from anybody.

Heather's gotten the rough end
since she was 4 years aged;
Heather's taken abuse so long,
all the while her spirit raged.

It's just those phenobarbiedolls,
those harlots and their crystal cat-calls,
so pure in the jealously that swells
within the school's clogging halls.

Heather can't take it anymore,
Heather never thought high school
would be a stalemate of stalemates,
an everlasting war.

There's the red in her eyes,
like overexposure of a picture.
She's going to blaze Wednesday morning,
and her exploits will someday be a lecture.

College professors will ask,
"what made her lash out so?"
If there's a perfect answer,
it's high school effect on the soul.
