Also, no album has ever sounded like any other album that they have ever done. I personally dont want a Naveed Part 2...I want Burn Burn...the seventh studio album from my favourite band...I love that they always sound different and that they are still able to be a top notch Canadian rock band after all these years...their longevity alone must mean they are doing something right.

amen!

Trustworthy, any possibility of iTunes exclusives? Also, isn't it your day off?

Trustworthy...can you tell us if Waiting For Something to Happen was left off the cd (maybe in place of AYD) or is it one of the songs with a different name?
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

Trustworthy, can you tip us off in 12 more hours with the question about "Waiting For Something To Happen" making it on the album? I'm dying to know as well.

When the radio clip came out, people complained that the backing vocals were too quiet. Then the full song comes out, and people complain that they’re too loud. Can’t please everyone, I guess.

While I agree that those harmonies at the end caught me off-guard the first time, I actually really like them now. Everyone keeps whining about this being too generic and mainstream and overproduced and what-not: I think that part definitely shows otherwise. Bob Rock (or any other pop rock producer) probably would’ve gotten a choir of kids in there to sing that part (see "Innocent"), or just had Raine sing over top of himself. They instead stuck with their “four guys making music” approach that they’ve talked about so much, and I think it sounds awesome.

And I really think that Raine’s “we’ve really mastered this ‘slow build’ thing” line shows in this song. The radio clip seemed like it was lacking energy to some people because we only heard the slow beginning part. The end has a TONNE of energy (has Jeremy ever done a more explosive drum fill than the one that opens the final chorus?). Each chorus sounds different as well, because Jeremy slowly does more and more complicated fills as the song goes on. Also, you can hear Steve’s guitar a lot more in the HQ mix, and it really adds a lot.

In conclusion, this song rocks, and I think it'll be a really big hit. I hate to wish away the summer, because it’s the best part of the year, but if I had a Delorian and a flux capacitor right now, I’d definitely be heading for July 21st.

P.S. Also, Trustworthy is awesome.

So, uh, I was completly able to watch the video and I'm in the U.S. Odd.

Not a big fan of the running through the forest, I'd rather have seen the band there the whole time instead. However, I do love the full version of this song.

LOVE the backing vocals at the end and the bridge.
