You know, books are organized by their authors, and CD's are organized by their bands. :P

Enh, I got bored of that.

I'm tempted to do the High Fidelity thing and reorganize them whenever I'm sad (or.. bored, whatever).

Up next? Release date I think.

and re-organizing just makes me feel the need to buy more

Mine are organized by:

1. band
2. release date
3. alphabetical
4. in case of standard vs special editions/dualdiscs/etc, standard first.

Singles, EP's, and promos are organized in along with the full albums,

I think that's the same as me...

1) Band (alphabetically cept for Oasis, OLP, and Silverchair, which each have their own racks)
2) Release date
3) ... there is no 3, because I always get the release date for everything. I don't think I have any standard/special editions that were released on the same day yet.

Oh, then there's all the new cds I've bought and have no room for which are just stacked randomly on my desk. :uh:

Oh, my 3 is for if there's more than one thing released on the same day. However, I have a handful of discs that I can't track down dates for like Superman's Dead (acoustic).

I've got all my OLP cds in order according to...... R&S's band history, I believe. Along with some other sources I searched for.

Hmm . . . I think I have stuff that's not on their website though. Unless they added it after I sent them my scans of the artwork.

I didn't use that part... the band history... with like when all the videos were filmed and all that stuff. Then all the singles that weren't listed there, or I had ones from different countries, I searched Google and stuff.

It took a long freaking time.

Alphabetical order eh? I ordered mine into everything that I have more than one of, going down in the order of how I prefer them, then we get into band that I only have one cd of and they go in order of what I like best, and then the bands with multiple cds are organized by the cd release date. :D
