Thanks a lot, I slept a lot easier last night lol. I was kind of nervous. I'm going to wait a couple more weeks before accepting, to see if Carleton will accept me.

you were nervous about getting into windsor? You do realize that is one of the easiest universities to get into in all of canada right?

Well when most of the people around you have already been accepted, and you're one of the last ones without an acceptance you tend to get nervous.

I'm nervous I won't get into one of the easiest schools in Utah to get into. I have no idea why, I just am.

Go Okanagan College.
I didn't even bother applying anywhere else.
I don't understand how you all can afford to leave home for first year. How the hell do you pay for tuition and res?

I worked in high school and saved up about 4000 or so, plu si got some money from high school for scholarships and some money from my university for scholarships... I also get OSAP every year which is a student loan through the government. I think my first year total if you include all of my expenses and everything came to about 13,000$
I think that if you want to get an education at a university the money can be found. It's just a matter of doing the work to find the money. There are thousands of scholarships and grants, etc that you can get to help pay for school. And if that fails, just become a stripper.

exactly. i'll have $6000 in savings by the end of the summer from working. scholarships are my friend, and i've been applying like mad to various scholarships/grants/burseries that i've found online, through school, and through newspapers and magazines. i got an automatic $4000 from york for my grade average. and i'm going to have to take out a student loan.
it'll be tough, but it's feasible. and it'll be worth it to get the education i want.

It would be funny if York cost $4500 more than any other university, but then gave out $4000 scholarships to every student.

but..its not :O it was cheaper than carleton..and except the fact that im paying for res, cheaper than the u of calgary too (and u of calgary only gives $500 scholarship. so yay york!).
