Agreed.

Out of, say, 10 songs, I want 5-7 to be heavier, like most CD's pre HIPT.

They didn't play the whole song again, only a certain part of it. Raine recorded new vocals, and the bridge and chorus is completely different. They may have even taken out the falsetto parts, but I don't think it was played long enough to tell. It was all very sparse, because there were a lot of technical problems and the stream kept disconnecting and lagging... hopefully someone recorded at least a few bits of it, but it would have been frustrating with all the disconnects and ads and lagging. Trusty (Rick) was saying they might try to find an alternative to USTREAM.

Guys stay quiet....we're not able to tell that falsetto part was removed....we heard a little bit of the song where Jer was recording some drums part...however remember the Trusthy's words on Raine's vocal, he told us that the things that we heard aren't the final product...i think that this album will be amazing...there is some tweet by Raine of last night:

This is about a guy that told him that "This is it" it's not similar at "Are you sad" and 4am(Raine told this in a tweet)
"it's not done yet! patience my friend. im getting that feeling from it.changed since that version you heard from the stream"

This is about falsetto and on the lyrics' mistery
"an abundance of falsetto so far! and yes... trying to leave mystery in the lyrics"

And finally there will be an UK Tour
"UK tour on this album!!"

ok ok ok

1. ustream sucks, thing is buggy as all hell - and yes last nights stream was up and down like a trampoline salesman - couple time because people were stepping on cables - couple times because of ustream - we looking into just serving this stuff up off our own computers - no ads, no tech probs, no drops etc.

2. falsetto, its not gone, might of just been moved around a bit

3. recording streams - this was discussed but we went with not recording them for a few reasons (1) extra lag on stream (2) takes the specialness away from it being live (3) we put our faith in the fans to record and share them

4. I dunno who Rich/Rick is but he seems nice enough

oh yeah and...

5 - all the tweets that went out before/during the stream somehow got posted hours later - again an issue with ustreams twitter integration and delivery and another reason we need to get away from it.

This streaming stuff is here to stay now and we have some BIG things planned for it - so over the next month or so lots of time will be put into creating a bulletproof mobile streaming solution so that OLP can stream from anywhere at anytime from here on out.
