I hate my hair.

aww no i bet your hair could rule. i used to really hate my hair too, it's very thick, tends to frizz, and refuses to straighten, so it took a long time for me to learn how to deal with it. i think everyone's hair, when treated the way it wants to be, can be awesome in it's natural state. is it curly? straight? fluffy? frizzy? thick? thin?

It's thick and fluffy, frizzes, and doesn't straighten. :P

that sounds exaclty like my hair if i brush it.

ok, well i don't know if you've ever tried this before, but after you wash it, simply finger comb it while wet, slap a bit of gel in there, part in center, or side, or wherever your heart tells you to part it, and let air dry. heck, sleep on it if you can stand to. wake up, shake your head around, tuck in stray ends, and voila... you may have something cool. but yeah, above all, DO NOT BRUSH.

hehe .. highschool sucks .. we weren't allowed braids .. or dreads .. i got in trouble by the principal for having colored flecks on my socks, for my skirt being too short, for my shirt not being tucked in, for rolling my shorts too high, for wearing a long sleeved shirt under my short sleeved t-shirt uniform, for having white on my shoes, they were supposed to be all black .. the place was a boot camp.

I've never dyed my hair. I know something would go wrong. My hair is big and frizzy. To dye it would probably take forever. I wanna dye it blue though, that would be incredibly weird/cool.

I have brown hair naturally, but I dyed it red (like a natural red) and it looked really good. So this year I dyed it red again but I went for a more red-red insted of an orangie-red and even my teachers were like "omg it looks sooo good". Which, I admit, freaked me out since teachers arn't supposed to say that. Anyways, After betting with someone that you can't buy blue hair dye in stores, that you have to get it professionally done, I now own blue hair dye...and shampoo. :freak:

Thats my big rant about nothing.

Anyway, who wants to see a prom picture!!

This isn't a good picture though

Haha, I think our hair is very similar. My hair WILL straighten though, if I try really hard, I think the difference is that I live out here in dry land, and it's not so early to straighten in the East. I just leave conditioner in, spray in some hair spray, flip my head over, and blow dry with a diffuser. Or...do what you do and sleep on it. For some reason, that really works, but it won't work just air drying. Eh, my hair has always been the odd one out. One time I did it curly natural in high school, and this girl asked me if I was going for the lion look. I was so pissed cause dude, if anyone had weird hair, it was her. She had horse hair, really course and weird. Who the crap is she to tell me I look like an animal!?

I used to do that all the time for the past 2 years... then my mom told me that I was putting on way too many horrible chemicals in my hair, and that it would probably destroy it later on in life. *shrug* . I still do that every now and then, and it looks relatively great. :)

hmm...

that makes absolutely no sense to me

a) there's no way it can do much damage unless your gel is made of battery acid.

b) Hair grows back. How can you destroy it "later on in life" ?

c) post your pictures!

Yeah...I don't really get it either. Gel washes out. What destroys your hair is dying and bleaching it and perming it constantly.
